Attending the house handover ceremony were Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission Giang Thi Phuong Hanh.
Chairwoman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission Giang Thi Phuong Hanh and leaders of Dong Phu district and Tan Lap commune presented the decision to donate houses to 2 households.
The first house was handed over to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong (born in 1963), with an area of 54m2 , and a total construction cost of 135 million VND. Of which, 100 million VND was taken from the 5% savings of regular expenses in 2024 and the District Fund for the Poor; Tan Lap Commune People's Committee mobilized 30 million VND in support; the remaining 5 million VND was mobilized by the District Red Cross Society from Tam Duc General Clinic (Dong Xoai City) to support.
In addition to receiving houses, the two households also received many practical gifts.
The second house was handed over to Mr. Tang Xuong's household (Khmer ethnic group, born in 1967, residing in Hamlet 4) with an area of 52.5m2 . The total construction cost of 100 million VND was taken from the 5% savings of regular expenses in 2024 and the District Fund for the Poor.

At the ceremony, the two households receiving the houses were also given many practical and meaningful gifts by the authorities. This is a great source of encouragement for the two families to make more efforts in life.
Thus, with the handover of new houses to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong and Mr. Tang Xuong, Dong Phu district has completed the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025. Previously, the district set a target of eliminating 15 dilapidated and leaky houses, of which 2 houses were repaired for families with revolutionary contributions and relatives worshiping martyrs; 8 new houses were built and 5 houses were repaired for poor and near-poor households.
