Dong Nai: Temporarily detaining the 'fake husband' who slashed his lover's mother and child, injuring them

On the evening of March 22, the Investigation Police Agency of Bien Hoa City Police (Dong Nai) confirmed that the unit is temporarily detaining Pham Thanh Son (48 years old, residing in Buu Hoa Ward, Bien Hoa City) to investigate the act of "Intentionally causing injury".

According to the Investigation Police Agency, on the evening of March 20, after going out drinking and returning home in Buu Hoa ward, Pham Thanh Son and Ms. NTMT (41 years old, living with Son as husband and wife) had a conflict. At this time, Son took out a knife and slashed Ms. T. and her 13-year-old daughter PA.

After that, Son also destroyed some other properties of Ms. T and her children.

Immediately after the incident, Ms. T. and PA were taken to the emergency room by neighbors. Currently, Ms. T. and PA's health is stable.

Regarding the above incident, Bien Hoa City authorities are temporarily detaining Son and continuing to assess the injuries of Ms. T. and PA to serve the investigation.

Previously, in Ha Tinh, there was a case of a young man seriously stabbing his lover and her child, setting fire to the house and then fleeing.

Specifically, on the morning of February 24, 2024, Bui Hoai Nam (born in 1993, residing in Trung Loc commune, Can Loc district) rode a motorbike to his girlfriend NTL's house (born in 1998, Thuong Loc commune, Can Loc district) to talk about love. There, Nam and Ms. L. had a conflict and argued.

After the argument, Nam used scissors to seriously stab Ms. L. and her mother. After committing the crime, Nam used gasoline that he had prepared to set fire to Ms. L.'s house and then fled the scene.

Upon discovering the incident, local residents took Ms. L. and her child to the emergency room and helped put out the fire. However, because the house contained many flammable objects, the fire broke out fiercely within minutes.

On the same day, authorities arrested Bui Hoai Nam while he was hiding at a farm in Thuong Loc commune, Can Loc district.
