In recent years, with the attention of authorities at all levels and mass organizations, the role of ethnic minority women in Dong Nai province has been gradually affirmed. In 2024, the Women's Union at all levels of Dong Nai province received the trust from the Provincial Social Policy Bank to provide preferential loans to 50,979 members from poor households and policy beneficiaries, with a total budget of VND 2,556,656 million. The loans were disbursed promptly, creating conditions to help poor households and other policy beneficiaries gradually develop their family economy and stabilize their lives.

Not stopping there, with the aim of supporting the Cham community in Xuan Hung to develop the economy, Ms. Sou A Ta established the Cham Village Dragon Fruit Trade and Service Cooperative with 18 members.

On average, each year the cooperative harvests from 20 to 40 tons/ha of dragon fruit; after deducting expenses, the profit is from 500 to 700 million VND/ha. Accordingly, the people's lives are increasingly improved.

Like Ms. Sou A Tah, in Dong Nai province, there are more and more ethnic minority women who are good at business, thereby affirming their role and position in the family and society. Implementing Project 8 of the National Target Program 1719, the Women's Union of Dong Nai province established a "Community Communication Team" and organized communication activities "Eliminating bad customs in ethnic minority areas" in Phu Binh commune (Tan Phu district) and Xuan Phu commune (Xuan Loc district).

It is known that, implementing the National Target Program 1719, Project 8 is one of the component projects that Dong Nai province organized to implement the earliest. Because most of the funding for implementing the National Target Program 1719 in the area is from the local budget, after balancing the capital source, on May 12, 2023, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 121/KH-UBND on implementing the National Target Program in the province for the period 2023 - 2025.

According to this plan, the total capital to implement 09 component projects in the province is 935,802 billion VND; of which the central budget is 63,753 billion VND, the provincial budget is 450,335 billion VND and the district budget is 90,671 billion VND.

Information at the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Dong Nai Province in 2024 (held on November 22) showed that the province is currently reviewing the need to implement the National Target Program 1719 in 2023 for the content of Project 1: Construction and repair of scattered houses and domestic water.

At the same time, implementing Plan No. 121/KH-UBND, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Ethnic Committee to coordinate with departments, branches and localities to review and register capital from public investment sources and career sources for implementation in the period of 2023 - 2025.
