Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025, identified: "Developing high-tech agriculture, organic agriculture associated with processing industry and product consumption market" as 1 of 4 breakthrough tasks.

The Provincial People's Council issued Resolution No. 05/2023/NQ-HDND dated July 14, 2023, stipulating policies to support the development of organic agricultural production in Dong Nai province until 2030. Policies of Dong Nai province to support the development of organic agricultural production in the area until 2030 include: One-time support of 100% of the cost of determining the area eligible for organic production, including basic investigation, topographic survey, analysis of soil samples, water samples, air samples. Maximum support level is 300 million VND/enterprise.

Next is the one-time support policy for organic agricultural production materials for establishments. Specifically, support for organic fertilizers for the cultivation sector with the following support levels: Durian, mango, grapefruit, melon 25 million VND/ha; rambutan, pepper, cocoa 20 million VND/ha; fruit vegetables 12 million VND/ha; cashew 10 million VND/ha; rice and leafy vegetables 9 million VND/ha. Support for organic feed for the livestock sector with the following support levels: Pigs 8 million VND/livestock unit; chickens: 5 million VND/livestock unit.

Recently, the Conference to introduce and connect the supply of high-tech agricultural services and organic agriculture in 2024 organized by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Dong Nai province attracted dozens of businesses and producers in the agricultural sector inside and outside the province to participate.

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the whole province has nearly 2,100 enterprises and establishments producing and trading agricultural materials in many fields.

Specifically, there are 630 enterprises and production establishments producing and trading plant and animal varieties (up 9.75% compared to 2021) with an annual output supplying the market with nearly 10.6 thousand tons of seeds, about 5.6 million agricultural seedlings, 230 million forestry seedlings, 4.7 million pigs, 300 million chickens, 100 million ducks, 72 million fish and shrimp of all kinds.

In particular, the field of production and trading of fertilizers and pesticides attracted many investment enterprises with nearly 1,400 enterprises and establishments, an increase of nearly 24.8% compared to 2021. Of which, there are 38 domestic enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises producing fertilizers and pesticides for domestic use and export. Production and trading of animal feed and aquatic products has 97 enterprises and production establishments; supplying the market with nearly 4.2 million tons of products/year...

Agricultural mechanization services are strongly developed. The whole province has nearly 257.5 thousand machines and equipment serving agricultural - forestry - fishery production. In which, the main types of machines are widely used such as: plows, tractors, combine harvesters, sprayers, rice mills, automatic and semi-automatic feeding systems... Mechanization from land preparation to harvesting meets about 90% of the area. In recent years, the service of using drones to spray pesticides, foliar fertilizers and field management is strongly developing, mainly in concentrated production areas for rice, corn and durian.

The agricultural sector has focused on implementing tasks and solutions to promote production development. Since the beginning of the year, the province has organized a training course on regulations in the field of plant varieties; 7 training courses on urban agricultural development. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has coordinated with Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company (HCMC) and localities to implement organic rice and grapefruit models in Cam My district; and coordinated to organize a conference on sustainable durian production and export.

In addition, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and promulgation of a plan to implement the Project on Integrated Plant Health Management (IPHM) until 2030; coordinated with a consulting unit to develop a Project on Investigation and Assessment of Agricultural Land Quality in Dong Nai Province to have measures for improvement and sustainable use, and the Project on Development of Concentrated Agricultural Production Areas in the Province...
