Dong Nai proposes Ho Chi Minh City to support technology and infrastructure connection for Ben Thanh

In particular, for the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line extension project to Dong Nai and Binh Duong provinces, the Provincial People's Committee proposed that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee support the connection of technology and infrastructure between the metro line extension to Dong Nai and Binh Duong provinces and the existing Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, for the above project, the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board is currently preparing a number of procedures to organize the preparation of a pre-feasibility study report.

Also according to the Provincial People's Committee, the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Metro Line Extension Project to Dong Nai and Binh Duong provinces has a route length of nearly 21km, connecting from behind Suoi Tien bus station of the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line to Km20+738 at the depot planned in Ho Nai 3 commune, Trang Bom district, divided into 2 sections.

In particular, the route from Suoi Tien bus station to S0 station (the station is divided into 2 branches in Binh Thang ward, Di An city, Binh Duong, 1 branch extends to Binh Duong new city and 1 branch extends to Dong Nai province). This route is about 1.8km long, Binh Duong province is expected to take the lead in investment research.

The section from station S0 connecting to Dong Nai province is nearly 19km long, including 12 stations and 1 depot with an area of about 23.4 hectares, expected to be located in Ho Nai 3 commune, Trang Bom district. Of which, the section through Binh Duong province is more than 1km long, the section through the province is nearly 18km long. Dong Nai province is expected to preside over the investment research for this section with a total investment of more than 34.7 trillion VND.

The project's capital is expected to use a mixture of capital sources including: central support capital, provincial budget capital, BOT capital, and land exploitation capital.
