On March 31, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed a decision approving the project to adjust the general planning of Nha Trang City until 2040.

New direction for Nha Trang
Comrade Nguyen Hai Ninh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee said that the project to adjust the general planning of Nha Trang City to 2040 is an extremely meaningful gift, marking an important milestone, opening a new vision, a new direction for Nha Trang City in particular, Khanh Hoa Province in general. With the approved planning, Nha Trang City will have more favorable conditions, a solid foundation to become a prosperous, civilized, happy city, making Khanh Hoa Province "a new standard for quality of life, work and tourism.
According to the approved plan, Nha Trang will be a green, clean and sustainably developed coastal city with diverse services, national and international tourism services, associated with unique natural landscape, cultural and ecological values; gradually striving to become a financial and commercial city of national and Southeast Asian stature.
In addition, the city's urban model and structure are organized in a multi-centered manner, focusing on the coastal urban strip and centers associated with landscape areas, main urban axes, and specific ecosystems. The urban development direction is to expand construction space to the north, northwest, west, south, and east.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Dinh Thien - Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, former Director of the Vietnam Economic Institute, assessed: Nha Trang is creating new momentum for a new competition. This is an opportunity to realize the idea of developing the homeland of Vietnam.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Dinh Thien also expressed his opinion: Nha Trang does not compete with any other city in Vietnam, but Nha Trang must compete globally and compete internationally. “Nha Trang must ask to pilot a model of a smart and creative city. Nha Trang must identify itself as a coastal city, building a cultural city of international stature; becoming the capital of a centrally-run city; a sub-regional center... of national stature”.
Forming a new quality of life
Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Minh Tung - Head of the Department of Civil Architecture, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering admitted: Among the coastal cities of the Central region, Nha Trang is always considered a "special" destination because few localities possess a beautiful coastline, combined with many rivers rich in cultural character, with much room for development like this city.

In fact, Nha Trang is recording a strong acceleration on its journey to become a leading destination in the region, while taking advantage of its natural beauty, combined with a strategy of planning infrastructure and services according to international standards. The approved project to adjust the general planning of Nha Trang City to 2040 once again proves this.
Accordingly, the recent highlight is the appearance of Libera Nha Trang - an international-class coastal urban area, owning a private beach located right in the heart of Nha Trang city, along the extended Tran Phu street. With a scale of up to 44 hectares, Libera Nha Trang is expected to become a new center that cannot be missed for domestic and international tourists as well as the city's residents, where unique accommodation, resort, entertainment, shopping and cultural experiences such as Van San Dao Park, Do Theater with the show Roi Mo, the sleepless "down town" area...
“Nha Trang’s development resources are its superior human resources, infrastructure, and institutions. Nha Trang is facing new challenges and new games. For Nha Trang to develop further, it is necessary to turn challenges into opportunities; challenges from the government into opportunities for businesses, thereby creating development momentum,” Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Dinh Thien affirmed.
