Mr. Care, support help people with disabilities and orphans (PWDs) ensure Stabilizing life has been supported by authorities , organizations, individuals and philanthropists. Try to do it with a spirit of listening and understanding.
The family of Mr. Le Van Hiem (48 years old) in Dinh 2 village, Lien Vi commune (Quang Yen town) used to have 3 generations of 9 people living in an old, damp house that did not ensure a comfortable life. Mr. Hiem himself was sick, his 2 children were severely disabled; his main job was working as a construction worker, unstable, life was difficult, for many years, Mr. Hiem's family was always among the poor and near-poor households in the commune.
Faced with the difficulties of Mr. Hiem's family, at the end of 2023, the Provincial Association for the Support of the Disabled and the Disabled mobilized organizations, individuals, and philanthropists to support funding to help his family build a new house (February 2024) with an area of 80m2 , closed with a total cost of 400 million VND. Of which, Nhan Tam Ha Long Charity Club supported 60 million VND, Nosco Shipyard Joint Stock Company supported 30 million VND in cash; INARI paint company supported 30 million VND in paint materials; the remaining funding was jointly supported by family, relatives, and the locality.
Mr. Le Van Hiem said: This new house not only meets the needs of daily life but also makes my family's long-standing wish come true. The house has given me the motivation to rise up and escape from near-poverty.
Vu Yen Nhi, a 7th grade student at Phuong Dong Secondary School (Uong Bi City), has special circumstances. Nhi lost both her parents when she was young. Nhi's four siblings live with their grandparents in Group 1, Tan Lap 1 area, Phuong Dong ward, of which Nhi's older sister is disabled. Nhi's grandparents are old and weak, have no stable income, and their lives are difficult. In 2020, the Provincial Association for the Protection of the Disabled and the Disabled connected with a benefactor, T-Land Real Estate Joint Stock Company, to sponsor Nhi (6 million VND/year) and has maintained it since then, helping her meet her study requirements.
Chairman of the Provincial Association for the Protection of the Disabled and the Disabled, Lanh The Vinh, said: The care, support and assistance for the disabled and the disabled mobilized from the resources of the whole society brings joy, happiness and sharing to the disadvantaged. Every year, the Association coordinates with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (now the Department of Health) to advise the province to issue a letter calling for and directing agencies, units and localities; mobilizing businesses, charitable organizations, philanthropists and people to open their arms of compassion and actively support, contribute money, goods, labor, and organize activities to care for the disabled and the disabled. In 5 years (2019-2024), Party committees and authorities at all levels, by mobilizing social resources through target programs, raised over 73 billion VND. Of which, the Provincial Association for the Protection of the Disabled and the Disabled mobilized over 22.8 billion VND, an average of 3.8 billion VND/year.
Quang Ninh is one of the localities that suffered heavy losses in terms of human lives and property after storm No. 3 made landfall in September 2024, making life difficult for people, especially the disabled and the needy. The Provincial Association for the Protection of Disabled and the Needy has mobilized and connected with benefactors, promptly coordinated with localities to visit, support, and give gifts directly to 987 disadvantaged households of disabled and the needy affected by storm No. 3 in 7 localities at district, town, and city levels in the province with a total value of nearly 1.2 billion VND.
In 5 years (2019-2024), the Provincial Association for the Protection of Disabled and Disabled People awarded 425 scholarships worth 570 million VND; awarded 915 million VND to poor orphaned and disabled students who overcame difficulties, totaling 664 million VND; sponsored, raised, and subsidized 323 orphaned students, totaling over 2.1 billion VND; supported livelihoods for 1,127 disabled and disabled people, worth 1.2 billion VND; supported the construction of 131 new charity houses for disabled and disabled people, totaling nearly 6.8 billion VND...
In 2025, the Launching Ceremony of "Connecting Hands of Love for the Disabled and the Disabled in Quang Ninh Province" with the theme: "Spreading Love, Lighting Up Faith" aims to honor outstanding collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the activities of protecting the disabled and the disabled and typical examples of overcoming difficulties to rise up every year. At the same time, receiving support registrations from agencies, business units, and philanthropists with an amount of money and goods worth over 4.4 billion VND. This is an important resource for the Provincial Association for the Protection of Disabled and the Disabled to implement solutions in activities to help the disabled and the disabled to rise up in life and integrate into the community.
