The 110kV Thoi An transformer station project has an initial design scale of transformer T1 with a capacity of 1x63 MVA, now upgraded with transformer T2 (1x63 MVA), with a total investment for the project of more than 37 billion VND.
Mr. Tu Minh Viet, Deputy Director of the Southern Power Grid Project Management Board, said that putting the project into operation will help reduce the load on the existing Thoi An 110kV station, meeting the load demand and N-1 criteria for My Phuoc 1, 2, 3, 4 industrial parks as well as Thoi Hoa urban area in My Phuoc 4 area in 2025 and the following years.
At the same time, the project also defines the connection of the 22kV grid with the existing 110kV Thoi An, My Hoa and Ben Cat stations, contributing to supporting the supply of electricity between 22kV lines when equipment maintenance or repair is needed; ensuring a stable power source for customers, while actively contributing to the socio-economic development of Binh Duong province.
The construction progress was completed earlier than planned thanks to the concerted efforts of EVNSPC in quickly implementing key projects. The implementation process also received coordination and support from many units such as: Southern Power System Control Center (SSO), Binh Duong Power Company, Southern Power Consulting Company, Southern Power Testing Company and a consortium of construction contractors.
In particular, the dedicated support from local authorities, departments and people has made an important contribution to completing the project on schedule, ensuring effective operation and exploitation, serving local socio-economic development.
