Speaking at the congress, comrade Mai Phuc, Secretary of the Party Cell of Office 2 - Vietnam Journalists Association for the 2020-2022 term, Head of the Southern Office of the Journalists & Public Opinion newspaper, presented a summary report on the results of activities for the 2020-2022 term and the direction and tasks for the 2022-2025 term.

In recent times, the Party Cell has regularly coordinated with the agencies directing and managing the State press in the South, the Journalists Associations at all levels, the Inter-Associations, Journalists Associations, press agencies and local authorities in raising awareness of social responsibility and professional ethics in press activities. Thereby, actively contributing to improving the efficiency and quality of press information in the area, increasingly enhancing the position and role of the Association in the Southern region in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
Along with that, cadres and party members of the Party cell fully participated in the study classes, thoroughly grasped and implemented the Resolutions of the Central Committee; Party Committee of the Bloc, Party Committee of the Central Agency of the Vietnam Journalists Association.
The Party cell always pays attention to grasping the aspirations of cadres, party members and employees, resolving arising issues, ensuring the implementation of democratic regulations at the grassroots level, contributing to building the office into a united, mutually supportive bloc, and a clean and strong Party cell.

Highly appreciating the achievements of the Party cell in the past term, comrade Phan Toan Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chief of the Office of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Journalists Association, suggested some contents for the Party cell to further develop.
Firstly, we must regularly pay attention to the work of building a clean and strong Party cell, enhancing solidarity and unity within the Party cell; promoting the pioneering and exemplary role of Party members in carrying out the political tasks of the unit; promoting the development of the Party through movement activities and implementing political tasks...
The Party Congress elected comrade Tran Trong Dung to hold the position of Secretary of Party Cell Office 2 - Vietnam Journalists Association for the 2022-2025 term.
Second, the Party cell leads the unit to improve the quality of press work and association work, proactively developing action plans for periodic and annual tasks.
Third, pay attention to promoting work in all aspects and continuously doing a good job of advising the leaders of the Southern Association, mobilizing necessary resources to meet the requirements of the Association's work.
The Party Congress elected comrade Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, to hold the position of Secretary of Party Cell Office 2 - Vietnam Journalists Association for the 2022-2025 term.
Comrade Tran Trong Dung gave a speech accepting the assignment.
In his acceptance speech, comrade Tran Trong Dung acknowledged the achievements that the Party cell had made in the past term. In the coming time, the new Secretary of the Party Cell of Office 2 - Vietnam Journalists Association will continue to lead the Party cell to successfully fulfill the political tasks of the representative agency of Vietnam Journalists Association.
Along with that, strengthen political education work to unite internally, maintain a clean and strong Party cell; well implement Party regulations and Party cell resolutions; develop 2-3 Party members in the new term.
