Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee worked with the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion

On February 22, Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session with the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion (referred to as the Center). Attending the meeting were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Le Huyen, Trinh Minh Hoang; representatives of relevant departments, branches and units.

The Center is a public service unit under the Provincial People's Committee, established under Decision No. 954/QD-TTg dated August 15, 2023 of the Prime Minister and officially put into operation from December 1, 2023. Currently, the number of civil servants of the unit is 36/45 people, with 4 professional departments. After going into operation, the Center has drafted regulations on coordination of activities between the Center and provincial departments, branches and sectors; carried out activities to implement investment promotion programs, advised on the successful organization of conferences to connect and promote investment, signed cooperation agreements with provinces...

At the meeting, the unit's leaders proposed a number of difficulties and problems that need to be resolved related to mechanisms and policies for investment, trade and tourism promotion; policies on industrial promotion and business development; on proposing investment policies, developing criteria for capacity and experience to notify interest in projects using land subject to bidding and auction; reviewing and adjusting related functions and tasks of the Center, as a basis for implementation according to assigned functions and tasks to avoid overlap. It is recommended that the province pay attention to allocating funds to repair headquarters, invest in equipment and supplement operating funds in 2024, meeting the working requirements of the Center...

Concluding the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the working spirit and responsibility of the Center after more than 2 months of operation, in the context of many difficulties in terms of facilities, implementing a new model with the combination of 3 functions of investment promotion, trade and tourism. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that in the coming time, the Center will continue to promote administrative reform, actively and effectively coordinate between local units, creating many positive and clear changes, in order to solve work contents effectively, without overlapping. The team of civil servants and public employees of the Center needs to gain experience, learn from other provincial units, demonstrate culture, civilization, share and listen, and accompany the business community. Soon issue a project on job positions; complete the coordination regulations, functions and tasks; coordinate between the Center and departments, branches and localities after having proactive, flexible and effective regulations. Regarding the Center's recommendations, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments and branches to review and have adjustment plans, agree to ensure no overlap; pay attention to arranging operating budget, repairing the office in the coming time to ensure the working conditions of the Center.
