Comrade Thai Thanh Quy holds the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission.

NDO - On the afternoon of October 26, in Hanoi, the Central Economic Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo 's decision to appoint comrade Thai Thanh Quy, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee.

Attending the conference were comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission, together with the leadership of the Central Economic Commission and representatives of Nghe An province.

According to Decision No. 1620-QDNS/TW dated October 25, 2024 of the Politburo, Comrade Thai Thanh Quy, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the 15th term of Nghe An province, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, and was transferred, assigned, and appointed to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission.

Presenting the decision, presenting flowers and congratulating comrade Thai Thanh Quy for being entrusted with a new responsibility by the Politburo, comrade Le Minh Hung emphasized that this is a new and very important task, requesting the new Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission to continue to promote his capacity, strengths and experience, together with the collective leadership of the Central Economic Commission to perform well the function of advising and assisting the Central Executive Committee, directly and regularly the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Standing Secretariat in the work of orienting the building and perfecting of economic institutions, planning major and important policies, guidelines and measures on the country's socio-economy.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Tran Luu Quang, member of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Economic Commission, said that the presence of Comrade Thai Thanh Quy in the leadership team will increase the strength of the Commission in carrying out its assigned tasks. At the same time, Comrade Tran Luu Quang asked Comrade Thai Thanh Quy to quickly approach the work and coordinate well with the Commission's leaders to complete the assigned tasks.
