According to the Department of Education and Training, by September 2023, the province had 296 preschool and general education facilities and 2 centers; the total number of cadres, civil servants and public employees in the sector was 10,401 people. There is still a shortage of public preschool and general education teachers in many localities in the province. The structure of the teaching staff is still unbalanced between subjects at the same level, between regions with different socio-economic conditions; the surplus and shortage of teachers is still common in many localities; the allocation quota for teachers to localities is mostly lower than the actual needs. Although there has been investment in facilities and teaching equipment, it has not yet met the necessary needs. The work of reviewing, arranging and reorganizing the network of schools and teaching staff in the period of 2021-2025 has achieved 80% of the set plan. By December 2023, the whole province will have 159 kindergartens and general schools that meet national standards. The whole province will meet the standards for universal preschool education (PCGD) for 5-year-old children; meet the standards for PCGD for primary and secondary schools and level 1 illiteracy eradication. The quality of mass education and key education has many positive changes with 27 students winning prizes in the national high school excellent student selection exam, 1/2 of the participating projects won the fourth prize in the national science and technology competition for high school students in the 2023-2024 school year.

At the meeting, the Department of Education and Training proposed that the Provincial People's Committee have a policy and allocate investment capital to upgrade the facilities of Pi Nang Tac Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Bac Ai); relevant departments and branches should promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee to allocate the remaining capital in accordance with the spirit of Plan No. 228/KH-UBND, assign staff according to the spirit of the norms of each level of education and organize the teaching of ethnic minority languages (Ninh Phuoc district)...
