On the afternoon of December 2, the Provincial Party Committee carried out the process of electing the Provincial Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term. Comrades: Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference. Attending the conference were comrades of the Provincial Party Committee and representatives of the Central Party Committees.

Implementing the Politburo's policy of agreeing to let the Standing Committee of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee carry out the process of perfecting the position of Provincial Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term from local human resources, in the planning, on November 19, 2024, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee carried out the steps of the process of introducing candidates for the position of Provincial Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term according to regulations, reporting to the Politburo for comments. On November 30, 2024, the Central Party Office issued an official dispatch notifying the Politburo's opinion agreeing to introduce comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to be elected to hold the position of Provincial Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term.
Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council spoke at the conference.
Pursuant to the Charter of the Communist Party of Vietnam; Regulation No. 24-QD/TW dated July 30, 2021 of the Central Executive Committee on the implementation of the Party Charter; Decision No. 190-QD/TW dated October 10, 2024 of the Central Executive Committee promulgating the Election Regulations within the Party; implementing the direction of the Politburo, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee reported and proposed that the Provincial Party Committee elect comrade Nguyen Khac Than to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Delegates carry out the voting process.
Comrade Pham Van Tuan, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board reported on the implementation of the personnel work process at the conference.
At the conference, the members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee upheld their sense of responsibility and conducted voting according to regulations. As a result, comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term with 100% absolute votes of confidence.
