(Dan Tri) - The second term in the White House will likely be the time for Mr. Donald Trump to carry out the plans he has high expectations for with his close team.

At the end of Donald Trump's first term as president, the New York Times declared: "The Horrible Experiment Is Over - President Donald J Trump: The End".
This statement is no longer true. If the first term - Trump 1.0 (2016-2020) - was an experiment, perhaps the second term - Trump 2.0 (2024-2028) - will be the real deal.
In 2016, Mr. Trump was a newbie in politics. That was the appeal to those who chose him. At that time, he had no idea how the Washington bureaucracy worked or how to run a country. But he learned a lot about the job of a president in his first four years.
In his first term, Mr. Trump fired a series of staff because of disagreements. This time, Washington observers believe that he will act more organized. He will know who to choose to work for him. They will be loyal people, people he has kept an eye on and gotten to know over the past eight years.
Susie Wiles will be Trump’s White House chief of staff in his new term. She is a veteran political adviser who ran Trump’s campaign and helped him win. She has been in Trump’s shadow for years, a shrewd political operator who began her career as a junior staffer on Ronald Reagan’s campaign.
Ms Wiles was fired by Mr Trump in 2020 ahead of the presidential election after a disagreement. But he soon saw her value again. He trusted her, and she knew exactly how he operated.
Mr Trump knows Ms Wiles better than any of the four chiefs of staff he has chosen during his first term, and she is crucially credited with trying to keep his campaign disciplined.

Ms. Wiles’s appointment is a sign of what Mr. Trump’s other appointments will look like in his new term, with people he is very familiar with or high-profile figures like billionaire Elon Musk or Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the grandson of the late President John F. Kennedy.
Mr Trump has also been able to bring family members into his administration. During his previous term, his daughter, Ivanka Trump, and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, were also key cabinet members.
Jared Kushner has played a central role in shaping Mr Trump’s Middle East policy, which culminated in the historic Abraham Accords between Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
So the first difference between "Trump 1.0" and "Trump 2.0" will be Trump's "recruitment". The second difference will be the power in Trump's hands.
The overwhelming victory and control of both houses of Congress (the House and the Senate) gives Mr. Trump strong power to govern the United States. It also gives the new White House owner strong confidence to do what he wants to do.
This time around, the goals Mr Trump has set out in his sweeping agenda are more achievable. He also has a clearer idea of what he wants to achieve.
Mr. Trump’s agenda, which has always been vague and open to change, is likely to include abolishing the Departmentof Education and making education a state, not federal, issue. He wants to shift control of education back to the states.
Mr Trump's agenda will also include a pledge to "mass deportation" of illegal immigrants, cut taxes, impose tariffs on foreign goods and overhaul the structure of the federal government.
Some of his policies will require congressional approval, which would be easier if Republicans control both chambers.
Other policies can be implemented through presidential executive orders, a prerogative granted to the US president. Sky News quoted a senior adviser to Mr Trump as saying that he would likely sign a stack of executive orders on Inauguration Day.
The power of governance is confidence. In 2016, Mr. Trump lacked that confidence. It was evident on Mr. Trump’s face when outgoing President Barack Obama welcomed him to the White House to hand over power.
This time, Mr. Trump has absolute confidence, because he has the most resounding comeback in American political history.
