When harmonizing with the old recording of the Voice of Vietnam, I feel like I am having a dialogue with the past - a heroic, emotional and sacred past. As the performer, Hung feels like he is being fueled by the melodies that once moved an entire generation.
Old music has a rustic, sincere, but very intense quality. Today's music, more modern, still maintains that spirit. The mashup is like a bridge connecting two eras - where Hung not only sings, but also learns to listen, empathize and be grateful."

Singer Dong Hung
Talking about the mashup performance Continuing the story of peace – Aspirations of Vietnamese youth , Dong Hung thinks that today’s generation is lucky to live in peace, but because of that, the responsibility is even greater. Those songs are not only music, but also a reminder – that the journey of building the country never stops.
“Today’s generation of young people are those who dare to think, dare to do and dare to dream big dreams. Continuing the story of peace is not only to preserve what our ancestors left behind, but also to make our country better and better – with talent, creativity and patriotism in the new era. When singing those melodies, Hung is not only singing for the audience, but also reminding himself that he is a part of that journey, and he must not forget,” Dong Hung said.
