Early in the morning, one day in mid-April, we arrived at the People's Procuracy of Phu Yen district just as the unit had just finished its weekly meeting. On the desk were thick files, case conclusion records, trial plans to draw lessons... Phu Yen District People's Procuracy Chief Sa Van Quynh said with a smile: If we don't have a thorough meeting at the beginning of the week, it will be difficult to get into the groove. Each case, each target must be closely followed every day, every task, we cannot be negligent.

Phu Yen has a large area, with 25 communes and towns, of which 16 communes are in the extremely difficult region III, with difficult transportation, especially during the rainy season. The people's knowledge is uneven, their lives are still lacking, while the situation of violations and crimes is complicated, especially drug crimes and crimes against social order. Therefore, each prosecutor does not have to sit in one place reading files but must go to the field, closely coordinate with the police force, the court, and local authorities to prevent violations, promptly detect wrongdoings, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the people. From the beginning of the year, the unit closely followed the directives, plans, and work instructions of the superiors to develop a detailed plan of the unit's tasks.

Director Sa Van Quynh added: During the investigation of the case, the unit's leaders also directed the prosecutors to closely follow the progress of the investigation and the development of the case, propose timely handling directions, and avoid serious errors. For important, serious cases, complicated cases, and cases of special interest to public opinion, the unit and the prosecution agencies closely coordinate right from the stage of handling information about the crime, to the investigation, prosecution, and trial process. Prosecutors prepare reports using mind maps for inter-agency meetings to evaluate, to avoid wrongful convictions and missed crimes. Strengthen the relationship of coordination with prosecution agencies, speed up the progress of resolving cases and matters.

In 2024, the unit made a breakthrough in applying information technology and effectively implementing digital transformation. Officers applied mind maps, presented evidence documents, and digitized files to serve litigation in court. From October 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, the unit exceeded the target of civil judgment enforcement, model cases, and trial sessions to draw lessons in the spirit of judicial reform. In addition to professional tasks, volunteer activities for the community are carried out regularly, spreading the sense of responsibility of the prosecution officers to society.

This is a motivation for officials and prosecutors at Phu Yen District People's Procuracy to continue to unite and unify in performing well the function of exercising the right to prosecute and supervise judicial activities, meeting the requirements of judicial reform in the new situation.
