Concentrating on construction of Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway

- Immediately after being assigned enough land, taking advantage of favorable weather, construction units are mobilizing human resources, machinery and deploying many construction teams at the construction site of Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway, phase 1 in the province. The investor, project management unit, and construction contractor are competing and striving every day for the common goal of completing the project by the end of 2025, in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister.

Construction "3 shifts, 4 crews"

The Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project, the section passing through Tuyen Quang province, is over 77 km long. Currently, 7 construction packages are being simultaneously implemented by contractors with nearly 100 construction teams working in "3 shifts, 4 teams", striving to complete the roadbed in June 2025.

To speed up the project's progress, the province has directed functional departments and Ham Yen, Yen Son districts, and Tuyen Quang city to remove "bottlenecks" of "bottlenecks" in site clearance, coordination of fill soil, construction materials, etc. With the drastic participation of the province, investors, especially the consensus of local people, up to now, the site clearance work for the main route of Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway has been assigned to the contractor to construct 100% in accordance with regulations.

Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuyen, Director of the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, said: “When the site was handed over, along with the problems related to construction materials being resolved, the construction units deployed on the entire route with many construction teams, mobilizing thousands of cadres, workers and nearly 1,000 pieces of machinery and equipment. Many sections of the route are being continuously constructed in “3 shifts, 4 teams” every day. Currently, contractors are organizing the excavation and embankment of roadbeds, bridges, cross-drainage culverts, underpasses, construction of precast structures, ditches... Striving to complete the excavation and embankment before the 2025 rainy season”.

Package 20 in Tu Quan commune, Yen Son district is being constructed by contractors. Mr. Nguyen Huy Chuong, construction officer of Cuong Thinh Thi Group, one of the contractors of package 20, shared: Currently, Cuong Thinh Thi contractor is constructing from km23+00 to km26+638 with a total length of 3.6 km. Currently, construction is being carried out in "3 shifts, 4 crews" with over 100 machines and 200 workers. The K95 embankment item on the route has been basically completed.

Roadbed basically completed in June 2025

The province has set a basic goal of completing the 77km foundation of the Tuyen Quang-Ha Giang Expressway, Phase I, by June 2025. To complete this goal, contractors must double or triple the number of vehicles and machinery, focusing on day and night construction.

Licogi 14 Joint Stock Company constructs 2 km, package 21, Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway, section through Tan Thanh commune (Ham Yen).

Mr. Vuong Duc Vu, Deputy Director of Licogi 14 Joint Stock Company, Construction Site Commander affirmed: “By April 17, 2025, the investor had handed over the entire site to the contractor. The contractor is focusing on maximum human resources and machinery to strive to complete all the foundation parts within 2 kilometers of the construction package 21 by May 30. Next, the contractor will carry out the construction of the road foundation and roadbed, striving to meet the schedule committed to the investor.”

In package 21, the construction of the section from Km43+00 - Km55+00 by the joint venture of Construction Service and Trade Joint Stock Company 68 - Phuc Thanh An Company - Hiep Phu Company Limited, the construction value has reached 210/699 billion VND, meeting the set schedule. Of which, the excavation and embankment of the roadbed has reached nearly 40%; the embankment of the roadbed has reached over 53%; the underpass for people has reached nearly 70%; the box culvert has reached 73%.

The Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway interchange with National Highway 2, section through Thai Son commune, Ham Yen district, under package 21, is being fiercely constructed by the contractor, Hiep Phu Company Limited, mobilizing 200 machines. With a red face under the 35-degree heat, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, a technical officer of Hiep Phu Company Limited, shared: After having enough land, we worked overtime with nearly 200 locomotives to carry out the construction, and so far, the roadbed has been completed by over 60%, striving to shorten the construction time by 3 months compared to the plan.

The completion of the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway will contribute to solving the "bottleneck" in regional traffic connectivity, creating favorable conditions to connect Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang into a strip with other key economic areas of the region and the whole country, so relevant levels, sectors and localities have made efforts and focused on the project.
