Welcoming the wave of Indian tourists to Da Nang.

Right from the beginning of the new year, Da Nang tourism has achieved positive results in promotion, marketing, and market access. Specifically, the city has continuously welcomed, advised, and supported increasingly large groups of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and wedding tourists from India.

In February 2024, the Credai MICE group from the Indian Real Estate Association, with over 400 guests, held an important event at Furama Da Nang Resort.

A MICE group from JK Cement Limited (India) will bring 165 guests to the Fourpoints by Sheraton Da Nang hotel in March 2024.

It is also expected that in March 2024, a wedding for a group of 300 Indian guests will be held at the Da Nang Marriott Resort and Spa.

The Da Nang City Department of Tourism presented gifts to congratulate the Indian couple who chose Da Nang City as their wedding destination.

Previously, in January 2024, the wedding of an Indian billionaire family took place at the Shreton Grand Da Nang Resort and Convention Center with over 400 guests. In February 2024, another lavish Indian wedding with over 200 guests was held at the Hyatt Regency Da Nang Resort and Spa.

"India is one of the breakthrough tourism markets for Da Nang during the tourism recovery phase and is projected to continue growing in the future. The city's tourism and service industry is also improving the quality of its products, especially focusing on MICE tourism, golf, and wedding tourism to serve visitors from this billion-person market," said Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Da Nang City Department of Tourism.

Additionally, on February 22nd and 24th, the Da Nang Department of Tourism organized the Da Nang FantastiCity booth at the South Asia Travel and Tourism Fair SATTE 2024.

This is the second time Da Nang has participated in this event, with the aim of boosting promotion to the potential Indian market, which ranks 4th in the Top 10 international tourist markets to Da Nang.

The SATTE 2024 trade fair, held at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, India, is the largest trade fair in South Asia, attracting over 48,000 attendees, 1,800 exhibitors, and more than 800 international and domestic buyers from over 120 countries in 2024.

The Da Nang FantastiCity booth also features the participation and support of nearly 20 tourism businesses from Da Nang and Vietnam in general.

In 2023, the Indian market ranked 4th in the top 10 international tourist markets to Da Nang City, behind South Korea, Thailand, and China.
