More than 83% of FPT staff are high-quality personnel
As a Vietnamese company operating globally, FPT Corporation has a diverse human resource in terms of culture, religion, ethnicity, language, age, education level, etc. This is also an important factor creating a sustainable competitive advantage for FPT.
Reporting to the Supervisory Delegation, FPT Corporation's Human Resources Director Chu Quang Huy said that by the end of 2024, FPT had 83,826 employees working in more than 30 countries, including more than 3,700 foreign employees with 87 nationalities, mainly from the US, Japan, Slovakia, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines...

FPT's main areas of operation are Technology, Telecommunications and Education. These are all areas that require high-quality human resources. Currently, more than 83% of FPT staff are high-quality personnel with university degrees or higher. In particular, FPT has technology engineers in the fields of: semiconductors (more than 100 employees), AI (more than 1,000 employees), Cloud (nearly 500 employees), Data (more than 1,200 employees), Automotive (more than 3,600 employees).
In the context of many technology corporations around the world cutting staff, FPT recognized a great opportunity and quickly set a goal of attracting senior experts from the world's leading corporations to work for it. By 2025, the number of foreign experts working at FPT is expected to increase to 4,500 employees.

Notably, in 2024, the turnover rate (TOR) at FPT was the lowest in the past 6 years, and in the Technology sector alone, this rate was the lowest in the past 15 years (13.9%). This, according to Mr. Chu Quang Huy, is particularly meaningful, saving a lot of costs for training new employees for technology enterprises; it is the result of a series of policies and programs of the Group to attract and retain talent.

Create maximum convenience for foreign experts to work in Vietnam
In order to improve the efficiency of developing and using human resources, especially high-quality human resources, FPT Group recommends continuing to improve the quality of education and training, promoting cooperation models with businesses to build training programs according to practical requirements; introducing AI and STEM contents into education early. Having a mechanism to comprehensively develop a team of lecturers with scientific research capacity, foreign language ability, digital capacity, etc.
Promote the implementation of the plan to train high-tech human resources in the fields of information technology, AI, semiconductor industry, Big data... Create a mechanism to attract Vietnamese talents abroad, build special mechanisms and policies to attract overseas Vietnamese intellectuals and experts to return to work in the country; support living and working conditions, create opportunities for research and career development.

Continue to promote international and domestic cooperation to establish international research centers, cooperate with the world's leading universities and research institutes to increase resources as well as experience in management, training, development and improving the quality of human resources, especially high-quality human resources.
Improve policies and working environment, reform administrative procedures in recruitment and employment, specifically, simplify the process of granting work permits and visas for foreign experts. Currently, applying for work permits is going through many steps with a complicated process and a waiting time of 2-3 months. Visa review and approval for experts who already have work permits is being counted together with regular long-term visa applications, leading to a very long visa processing time (14 working days), while technology projects are characterized by needing people quickly.
FPT recommends reducing procedures and processing time, not limited to recruiting high-tech experts; granting visas quickly, neatly, with simple procedures for experts and their relatives when visiting, working or living long-term with experts; exempting visas for experts in high-tech fields or from countries with advanced scientific and technological capabilities that are strategically cooperating with Vietnam; prioritizing processing time, simplifying visa conditions for experts who already have work permits...

Exemption/reduction of personal income tax for experts working for enterprises operating in the high-tech sector that have been registered with the competent authorities; experts working in locations that are planned for high-tech development, such as Hoa Lac high-tech park, Da Nang high-tech park, etc. At the same time, research to increase the family deduction level to attract and motivate to retain high-quality human resources.
The monitoring delegation acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of FPT Corporation's operations in recent times, contributing to the development of the country in general, especially in the fields of Technology, Telecommunications and Education. The Corporation has also had many policies to attract and retain talented people, creating a happy working environment for staff, so that they can confidently contribute.
