Welcoming guests on the first international flight from Taipei to Quang Binh

As soon as they arrived in Dong Hoi City, the passengers and crew were welcomed and given flowers by Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and travel agencies.

Representatives of the Tourism Promotion Center presented flowers and Quang Binh souvenirs to tourists.

It is known that Dong Hoi Airport is one of three domestic airports licensed to allow foreigners to enter and exit the country with electronic visas (e-visas) according to Resolution 127/NQ-CP of the Government on the application of electronic visas for citizens of countries and territories; international border gates allow foreigners to enter and exit the country with electronic visas.

Based on Vietjet Air's proposal, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam issued flight license No. LD-1046/03/2025VN on March 25, 2025, allowing Vietjet Air to operate the international route VDH-TPE-VDH during the period March 31, 2025 - October 13, 2025 with 26 flights (equivalent to 13 round trips) using A320/A321 aircraft.

A representative of Vietjet Air said that Quang Binh is an attractive tourist destination, with convenient traffic connections to neighboring provinces and the potential for the largest growth in visitors during the tourist season. The airline will continue to research and coordinate with the province to promote new routes with diverse methods in the near future.

Earlier at 12:40 p.m. the same day, flight VJ7172, VDH-TPE with 90 passengers took off from Dong Hoi airport and landed at Taipei International Airport at 3:40 p.m. The flight marked an important milestone in opening international flights to and from Dong Hoi airport.

The flight just landed at Dong Hoi Airport at 19:40, bringing 38 passengers from Taipei (Taiwan) to visit and travel in Quang Binh.

With a flight network spanning across the territories, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Binh expects Vietjet Air to be a bridge to help expand the market of tourists around the world to travel and explore nature in Quang Binh, opening up a new potential market in the near future.
