
The Vietnamese Wushu team participated in the World Sanshou Cup with 6 athletes: Dinh Van Tam, Nguyen Thi Lan, Ngo Thi Phuong Nga, Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, Nguyen Manh Cuong and Huynh Do Dat. All 6 Vietnamese athletes won the right to enter 6 finals in the weight categories.

In the women's 48kg category, Nguyen Thi Lan was the first to bring glory to the team when she defeated her opponent from India - Chhavi Chhavi, thereby winning the first gold medal for Vietnamese wushu at the tournament.
In the women's 52kg final, Ngo Thi Phuong Nga (women's 52kg) faced the host Chinese boxer - Chen Mengyue. Despite showing great determination, Phuong Nga could not create a surprise and had to accept the silver medal. In the 52kg category, boxer Dinh Van Tam competed excellently and won convincingly against boxer Anuj (India) to win the gold medal.

In the remaining finals, Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy (women's 60kg) defeated Mansourian Semiromi Soheila (Iran) to win the gold medal. Huynh Do Dat (men's 70kg) defeated Yat Lam Cheung (Hong Kong, China) to add another gold medal to the Vietnamese delegation. In the men's 60kg final, Nguyen Manh Cuong competed very hard but lost to Yu Hong Leung (Hong Kong, China), winning the silver medal.
The 2025 Sanshou World Cup will take place from April 5 to April 10 in Jiangsu Province, China. The tournament will bring together nearly 200 athletes and coaches from 26 countries and regions. This is a playground for the top Sanshou champions from various countries.
