(Dan Tri) - The Vietnamese team played well, but could not bridge the huge gap in class with the Russian team. In the end, coach Kim Sang Sik and his team lost 0-3 at My Dinh.
Vietnam team lost 3 goals to Russia team
The Vietnamese and Russian teams did not field their strongest lineups, perhaps both coaches Kim Sang Sik and Valeri Karpin wanted to use this friendly match to test their lineups rather than calculate the outcome. On the Vietnamese team's side, stars like Quang Hai, Tien Linh, Tuan Hai, Tuan Anh... were only on the bench, while some young players like Van Truong, Hai Long or those who had not yet made their mark on the team like Dinh Thanh Binh had the opportunity to play from the start. After the opening whistle, the match's pace was average. The Russian team controlled the ball slightly better, but the Vietnamese team's defense organized a good defense, making it difficult for the opponent to approach Van Lam's goal. The turning point of the match came in the 24th minute, Musaev, after skillful technical moves, crossed the ball from the left sideline for Kuziaev to head in close to score the opening goal.

After scoring, the Russian players played more confidently and had many attacks close to Van Lam's goal. However, the Vietnamese players covered well, not allowing the opponent to score a second goal before entering the break. Entering the second half, coach Kim Sang Sik began to change players with the appearance of Tien Linh, then Vi Hao and Tuan Hai entered the field in the first 15 minutes of the half. Unfortunately, when the Vietnamese team had not yet made an impression in the counterattack, the second goal came in an unexpected way. In the 62nd minute, Van Thanh passed the ball back to Van Lam, a pass that was not difficult but the Vietnamese goalkeeper handled it wrongly and let the ball roll into the net. Van Lam's elementary mistake helped Russia raise the score to 2-0. The second goal was the end of the Vietnamese team's hope of equalizing. Playing quite leisurely, the Russian team scored the third goal in the 77th minute, Musaev tapped the ball close to the goal after a cross from his teammate. In the final minutes of the match, the Vietnamese team rose up and created a few opportunities to threaten the Russian goal, unfortunately Vi Hao and Tuan Hai were not successful. In the end, the Russian team won 3-0 against Vietnam.
