The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has sent its deep thanks to fans who have always accompanied the Vietnam women's football team.

The VFF letter wrote: "In February 2022, the Vietnamese women's football team made millions of domestic football fans burst with happiness when they won the right to compete in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup finals for the first time. This is considered a historic and very meaningful achievement for Vietnamese football in general and women's football in particular.

The journey to the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup finals of the Vietnam women's football team is truly special. However, overcoming difficulties, the female players have united and strived to compete with important support from Vietnamese fans to win the right to participate in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup finals for the first time."

VFF sent thanks to fans who have always accompanied the Vietnam women's team.

In their first participation in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup finals, the draw put the Vietnamese women's team in the same group with strong opponents such as the defending champion USA, the defending runner-up Netherlands and the Portuguese women's team. Under the guidance of Head Coach Mai Duc Chung, the female players competed with all the responsibility, spirit, will and determination of Vietnam.

In the recent historic journey of the Vietnamese women's football team, there has always been the companionship of fans. Although having to compete far away, the team members always feel warmed by the affection of overseas Vietnamese, as well as Vietnamese audiences who have traveled to New Zealand and millions of domestic fans who have spent time watching on television and social media platforms...

VFF would like to sincerely thank domestic football fans, overseas Vietnamese in New Zealand and other countries, and international fans who have always accompanied and stood side by side with the Vietnamese women's team at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup finals.
