Thailand women's team lost 1-10 to South Korea

In the second qualifying round of the 2024 Olympics, the Thai women's team fell into a very difficult group with China, North Korea and South Korea. Right in the opening match, the Golden Temple team felt the harshness when they lost to South Korea with a score of 1-10.

This was a match in which Thailand only played well for 33 minutes. They excellently neutralized the attacks of Korea. However, they could not withstand the heat under the terrible pressure of the Kim Chi team and collapsed in an extremely miserable way.

In the 33rd minute, from a central attack, Casey Phair controlled the ball and shot low, helping Korea take the lead. In just the next 6 minutes, Thailand conceded two more goals. Chun Ga Ram (minute 36) and Kang Chae Rim (minute 39) scored to help Korea take a 3-0 lead in the first half.

In the second half, the "War Elephants" faced a real nightmare. In the 48th minute, Chun Ga Ram curled the ball into the top corner to help Korea take a 4-0 lead. Four minutes later, Kang Chae Rim put the ball into the net with his thigh, raising the score to 5-0.

Thailand collapsed after consecutive losses. In 10 minutes, they received 5 more goals. Casey (minute 66, 70), Lee Geun Min (minute 68), Moon Mi Ra (minute 72) and Chun Ga Ram (minute 75).

The Southeast Asian team only had a consolation goal thanks to Muldong in the third minute of extra time. The match ended with a score of 10-1 in favor of the Korean women's team.

In the next two matches, Thailand will face two other very big challenges, China and North Korea. If the situation does not improve, the "War Elephants" may suffer further heavy losses.

Meanwhile, in Group A, the Philippines defeated Taiwan (China) with a score of 4-1 in the opening match. There are two other opponents in this group, Iran and Australia. The possibility of the Philippines entering the third qualifying round is not small.

At 7:00 p.m. tonight, the Vietnamese women's team will enter the opening match of the 2024 Olympic qualifiers against Uzbekistan.
