The final day of the Asian golf tournament - Nomura Cup 2024 took place with exciting developments. Not disappointing the home fans, the trio of Vietnamese golfers including Nguyen Anh Minh, Le Khanh Hung and Ho Anh Huy overcame very strong opponents from Japan, Korea and Australia to win the championship with a score of -20 strokes.
The most outstanding player on the Vietnamese team is Nguyen Anh Minh - the number 1 golfer in the country. At this tournament, Anh Minh is also the athlete with the highest score on the WAGR world amateur golfer rankings.
He continued to play excellently, and ended the 3 days of competition with a total score of -12 strokes, accounting for 60% of the team's score. Anh Minh's most notable shot on the final day was the birdie putt at the par 3 4th hole.
Besides Anh Minh, Ho Anh Huy and Le Khanh Hung also played impressively throughout the tournament.

Khanh Hung scored -2 and -3 strokes respectively on the last two days of competition, while Ho Anh Huy scored -3 strokes after 69 shots.
The Vietnamese team officially won the Nomura Cup 2024 with a total score of -20. This victory is even more meaningful because this year's Nomura Cup was held at home, at Vinpearl Golf Hai Phong. This is the first time Vietnam has won this tournament, after only 2 times participating.
The two teams ranked after Vietnam are Japan and New Zealand. Japan ranked 2nd with a total score of -17, while New Zealand ranked 3rd with a total score of -11.
With excellent performance, golfer Nguyen Anh Minh won the individual championship with a total score of -12. Declan O'Donovan (Australia) ranked 2nd with -10 strokes, and Robby Turnbull (New Zealand) ranked 3rd with -8 strokes.
This is a great mental stepping stone for Nguyen Anh Minh to participate in the Tien Phong Golf Championship 2024, starting in early November.
Nomura Cup 2024 is a tournament jointly organized by the Asia Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC), the Vietnam Golf Association and Hai Phong city.
2024 will see the first Nomura Cup held in Hai Phong, Vietnam. The tournament will bring together the region’s most talented young golfers to compete.
