Vietnam Women's Futsal Team Wins First Match During Training Trip to Japan

The Vietnamese women's Futsal team with 16 players under the leadership of coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang left for Chiba city (Japan) on April 21 to train and prepare for the 2026 Asian Women's Futsal Championship in early May in China.

Vietnam women's team competes with Fugador Sumida Ladies Club

On the afternoon of April 23, the Vietnam women's Futsal team had their first friendly match against local club Fugador Sumida Ladies.

The match took place at a high speed, bringing many positive signals for coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team.

Thanh Ngan showed good form when she scored two goals in the 3rd and 8th minutes, helping the Vietnamese women's team win 2-0.

Sharing after the match, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said: "The opposing team has relatively good quality players, they play with high intensity and continuously speed up the match.

As for the Vietnamese team, we started well and controlled the game. However, the players need to improve their finishing ability, and at some points, the defense still did not control the situations well.

Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang reminded his students during the middle of the match.

Although there are still some points that need to be adjusted, the head coach of the Vietnam women's futsal team affirmed that the coaching staff is satisfied with the performance of the whole team in this first friendly match.

According to the plan, on April 24, the whole team will rest to recover their physical strength. The coaching staff will have a technical meeting with the players, analyze the match video to learn from experience and correct mistakes, and prepare best for the next match against the Japanese women's Futsal team on April 25.

The training trip in Japan is an important preparation step, helping the team accumulate experience, improve physical strength and competitive spirit towards the 2026 Asian Women's Futsal Championship.

This is also the tournament where Vietnamese girls are expected to win a place in the 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup if they make it into the top 3 strongest teams.
