Practice over the years has shown that music is not only a means of entertainment but also a means of connecting the community, promoting cultural exchange and enriching the spiritual life of the public. Organizing large-scale music events brings economic benefits, creating business opportunities for many industries such as tourism, advertising, cuisine, gift products, media, etc.
At the dialogue event, representatives of state management agencies listened, discussed and frankly shared with individuals, organizations and typical businesses operating in the music field about the contents related to the results achieved and the contributions of the music industry to the development of culture - economy - society in general, and to the development of cultural industries in particular.

Mr. Pham Minh Toan, representative of Vietfest, said: “Currently, many music events in Vietnam are organized for free for the audience. Domestic audiences do not have the habit of buying tickets, while many international music events and festivals where we invite artists from other countries, they all ask about the ticket sales policy. The culture of paying for music is something that needs to be focused on during this time and in the future. Events cannot rely on sponsors forever.”

Director of the Copyright Department Tran Hoang commented that in recent times, music programs and activities have developed very strongly with many production brands. However, the development of the music industry has not really been commensurate with its potential.
"Issues related to tax policies, policies to attract foreign investors, ways of association, support mechanisms to facilitate the organization of major events, communication about the culture of paying for works, market development, development of commercial products for works, programs... are focused on. The State and competent agencies will consider and have appropriate long-term and short-term policies. Decree 144, legal documents, and financial policies will soon be amended to suit the direction of cultural industry development," Mr. Tran Hoang emphasized.
