The team of students from Quang Nam and Da Nang City won the championship of the Global Citizen Debate Challenge 2025.

(QNO) - This morning, April 5, in Hanoi, the National Finals of the Global Citizen Debate Challenge 2025 officially ended with the championship prize going to The Vanguard team consisting of students from Quang Nam and Da Nang City.

Participating in the Global Citizen Debate Challenge (GCDC) 2025, The Vanguard team consists of 2 students Pham Thi Thu Phuong, Tran Van Anh (Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted, Hoi An City) and Nguyen Thi Bao Thy (Nguyen Thuong Hien High School, Da Nang City).

The Vanguard has successfully surpassed the strongest teams in the final round, crowned the champion of the 2025 GCDC season. The prize for the champion team is worth 15 million VND and a scholarship of 300 million VND at Swinburne Vietnam.

GCDC 2025 attracted nearly 100 teams with more than 300 contestants participating in the preliminary and qualifying rounds across three regions. The debate topics of the final round revolved around prominent global issues in the fields of economics, society, education... challenging young people to provide their own perspectives, deep thinking and responsibility to the community.

Global Citizen Debate Challenge (GCDC) is a national academic debate competition in English, organized annually by Swinburne Vietnam, for high school students and first-year university students.

This is a playground for students to approach and practice the necessary skills of 21st century global citizens such as analytical thinking, logic, creativity, research, problem solving, teamwork, research, communication, presentation, etc.
