Dak Nong Provincial Border Guard manages and protects the 141km long national border, with 2 border gates. The border area of ​​the province has 7 communes in 4 border districts. With the motto of the relationship between the two countries: "Good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability", the foreign affairs work between Dak Nong Provincial Border Guard and the border guard force of Moddulkiri Province (Cambodia) is regularly maintained and implemented by both sides through the following contents and forms: Actively advising the two sides' authorities to expand relations, promote cooperation and coordination in border management and protection, prevent illegal entry and exit, smuggling, trade fraud, drug trafficking, women and children, and prevent and combat diseases across the border. Regularly inform and exchange information on the situation related to territorial sovereignty, activities of all types of crimes, especially armed terrorism, and flight activities violating the sovereignty of Vietnam and Cambodia. Direct the Border Guard Stations at the border gates to organize regular and unscheduled meetings; organize bilateral patrols, patrols at the same time to strictly manage the border. Increase meetings, exchanges, visits, and congratulations to the armed forces of Mondulkiri province on the occasion of traditional holidays and New Year to enhance mutual understanding and trust in order to strengthen solidarity, friendship and tradition.

Colonel Vu Xuan Dai, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command, said: The Provincial Border Guard always identifies border diplomacy as an important political task, contributing to the completion of the unit's tasks. The Standing Party Committee and the Command have always paid attention to and proactively innovated the content, form, and measures of leadership and direction in implementing border diplomacy and people's diplomacy; coordinated management, protection, and maintenance of border and border gate security; maintained strict implementation of the Agreements, Treaties, and bilateral agreements signed between the border protection forces of the two sides; coordinated well in the fight against and effectively prevented illegal border crossings, illegal border crossings, smuggling, trade fraud, drug trafficking, women, children, and other crimes in border areas and border gates; and the activities of human trafficking lines.

Every year, the Provincial Border Guard has advised the Border Guard High Command, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee to effectively direct the implementation of border foreign affairs and people's foreign affairs activities and participate in the local working delegation to negotiate and resolve issues related to territorial sovereignty and security and order in the border area.

Since the beginning of 2023, the two sides have coordinated to organize bilateral patrols, patrolling 24 times/432 participants at the same time. Regularly exchange information on the situation related to territorial sovereignty, border security, criminal activities, illegal entry and exit activities, and flights violating sovereignty. Effectively coordinate in border management and protection, preventing and combating all types of crimes: smuggling, trade fraud, illegal entry and exit and other types of crimes to maintain political security and social order in the border area; closely coordinate and promptly resolve incidents arising on the border in the spirit of solidarity and friendship; Continue to propagate and educate people living in the border areas of each side to raise awareness and understanding of the law, especially the two legal documents signed by the Prime Ministers of the two countries on October 5, 2019 (Protocol on Land Border Demarcation and Marker Planting between Vietnam and Cambodia and the 2019 Supplementary Border Demarcation Treaty), the Agreement on Border Area Regulations and bilateral agreements signed by the two governments as well as the laws of each country; so that people can actively participate in protecting security and order in the border areas, fighting against all kinds of crimes, preventing illegal entry and exit, smuggling across the border and border gates; do not listen to propaganda, distortions, and incitements to divide the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia. Maintain strict management and control activities at border gates, closely coordinate with Customs and Border Health Quarantine to strictly control epidemics at the border gates and facilitate the exchange and circulation of goods, necessities and essential items of the people of the two provinces of Dak Nong, Vietnam and Mondulkiri, Cambodia. Organize gift giving and support of goods and materials for the armed forces of the border provinces of Cambodia.

Lieutenant Colonel Pham Quoc Tuan, Head of Bu P'Rang Border Guard Station, Dak Nong Border Guard, shared: Bu P'Rang Border Guard area is a vital route serving trade and foreign affairs between Dak Nong and Monddulkiri provinces (Cambodia). Over the years, the unit has maintained good relations with the border protection forces on the opposite side; regularly exchanging information on the situation related to border management and protection, criminal activities, and Covid-19 prevention and control; organizing regular and ad hoc meetings and talks, contributing to maintaining political stability, security, order, and social safety on both sides of the border.

To effectively carry out people's diplomacy, the Party Committee and Command of Dak Nong Border Guard have directed border posts to coordinate with local forces to focus on promoting propaganda and mobilizing people, aiming to make people in border areas clearly understand the territorial sovereignty, the independent, autonomous and open foreign policy of our Party and State; actively fight against hostile propaganda, incitement, and division of Vietnam - Cambodia friendship; fight against all kinds of crimes, proactively do a good job of inspection and control, creating favorable conditions for people on both sides of the border to enter and exit; at the same time, coordinate with authorities and organizations of border communes to organize propaganda and mobilize people; Meet with prestigious people to take advantage of ethnic and kinship relations of people on both sides of the border to propagate national and border issues, well implement the agreement on border regulations between the two countries, and together build a peaceful, friendly and sustainably developed border.
