In particular, the unit has proactively streamlined its organizational structure, ensuring flexibility and professionalism to meet the demands of innovation in the current period.

Trade unions work together, welfare is enhanced.

The Provincial Federation of Labor Unions has 11 district and city-level federations of labor unions and 3 affiliated industry-specific unions, including the Provincial Civil Servants' Union, the Health Sector Union, and the Education and Training Sector Union, with nearly 1,300 grassroots unions. In 2024, the province established 11 new grassroots unions, including 6 enterprise-level unions, 4 grassroots trade unions, and 1 public service-level union; and admitted 1,558 new members (including 366 members in the informal sector), bringing the total number of union members in the province to 36,978.

Officials from the Provincial Federation of Labor's Professional Affairs Department are focusing on implementing tasks following the merger.

The Provincial Labor Union has directed the continued innovation and promotion of the principles of democratic centralism and individual responsibility, guiding 100% of grassroots trade unions to participate in emulation movements, apply information technology and digital transformation to improve the effectiveness of trade union activities. Through this, grassroots trade unions have coordinated the early salary increase review for 7,057 cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, and laborers; and reviewed eligibility for sick leave, maternity leave, and work-related accident benefits in accordance with regulations. At the same time, they have organized many activities and programs to promote the tradition of solidarity and the spirit of mutual support and compassion, caring for union members such as: implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province, "Tet Reunion - Spring Sharing," and supporting the construction of "Trade Union Shelters"...

Among the activities aimed at caring for workers, the "Trade Union Shelter" program has helped 51 union members and workers in difficult circumstances realize their dream of "settling down and establishing a stable life." With a total support budget of 2.44 billion VND, it not only provided a solid home but also gave union members and workers the motivation to work with peace of mind and strive for a better life; becoming a vivid testament to the spirit of solidarity and sharing, affirming the role of the Trade Union in protecting and supporting workers.

Streamlined for efficient operation.

In implementing the Party and provincial policy on streamlining the organizational structure within the political system for efficient and effective operation, the Provincial Federation of Labor Unions has proactively reviewed and reorganized its internal structure (according to Project 39, dated February 13, 2025, of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the reorganization of the organizational structure of the Provincial Federation of Labor Unions).

Before the reorganization, the Provincial Federation of Labor Unions had five specialized departments. However, the organizational structure was unscientific , with overlapping and redundant functions and tasks; some departments only had four people. Based on this reality, to improve operational efficiency, the Provincial Federation of Labor Unions merged the Finance Department with the Office to form the Office; and consolidated the Policy, Law and Labor Relations Department with the Propaganda and Women's Affairs Department into the Professional Affairs Department. After the reorganization, the number of specialized departments was streamlined from five to three, reducing the number of department heads by two. While the number of departments decreased, their functions and tasks were restructured more rationally, leading to more efficient operations. Simultaneously, this allowed staff to maximize their capabilities in a more professional environment with clearer roles and responsibilities.

In particular, to facilitate the agency's reorganization of its structure, the Provincial Labor Union has set an example of prioritizing collective interests over personal ones, exemplified by Mr. Ha Trung Lam. For 12 years, from 2011 to September 2023, Mr. Lam served as Deputy Head of the Policy, Law and Labor Relations Department. In October 2023, he was appointed Head of the Department. However, after only a little over a year in office, in February 2025, he voluntarily resigned to facilitate the agency's reorganization. Specifically, after the Policy, Law and Labor Relations Department merged with the Propaganda and Women's Affairs Department to form the Professional Affairs Department, Mr. Lam did not hesitate to step back and assume the role of Deputy Head.

Following the reorganization of its internal structure, the Provincial Federation of Labor Unions continues to review and strengthen its apparatus, improving the quality of its staff and civil servants to build a team of dedicated and capable officials, ready to accompany and protect the legitimate rights of union members and workers in the new era. At the same time, it will implement comprehensive solutions to successfully achieve the 2025 theme: "Focus on developing union membership; participate in building a clean and strong Party and government." Through this, it will continue to build a stronger trade union organization, affirming the important mission of the trade union in caring for the lives and protecting the rights of union members and workers.
