Notable on this day of competition is the final match in the group stage of the Tra Vinh men's volleyball team against the Army Sports Center team. Before this match took place, fans had high hopes that the team from the West would complete a winning streak after the group stage. Because before that, Coach Le Van Trieu and his team of Tra Vinh team had a series of 03 unbeaten matches against opponents in the group. Besides, in terms of strength between the 02 teams, Tra Vinh is also rated higher with a squad that has participated in the final round of the national A-class volleyball tournament for 03 consecutive years.
True to the above comments, entering the match, the Tra Vinh team's hitters had a rather leisurely match; even without the presence of "star" Nguyen Van Quoc Duy, the team quickly ended the match with a 3-0 victory over the other team. The scores of the games in this match were 25/17, 25/11 and 25/20 respectively in favor of the Tra Vinh team.
Participating in the qualifying round of the National A-Class Volleyball Tournament this year, there are 15 men's teams divided into 03 groups and 13 women's teams divided into 02 groups. In which, the Tra Vinh men's volleyball team is placed in group A with the following teams: Quang Nam, Ha Tinh, Army Sports Center and the host team Kun Tum. In the end, the Tra Vinh team won all 04 matches against Quang Nam (played on April 7, with a score of 3 - 0); Ha Tinh (April 9, with a score of 3 - 2); Kon Tum (April 10, with a score of 3 - 0) and Army Sports Center (April 16, with a score of 3 - 0).
With this achievement, Tra Vinh men's volleyball team ranked first in Group A and won 1/8 tickets to the final round of Group A tournament in the 2025 season.
