Binh Duong team is nervously 'holding its breath' at the news that Khanh Hoa Club is on strike and leaving V-League

Since December 7, the money story of Khanh Hoa Club has once again become a hot topic of Vietnamese football. The players of the coastal city team have been owed salaries and fees for too long, so they have declared a "strike" until they receive their money. In this context, Khanh Hoa Club may not play in round 5 of V-League 2023 - 2024, when coach Vo Dinh Tan's team welcomes Binh Duong Club at 19/8 Stadium at 6:00 p.m. on December 10. Up to now, there has been no information about whether this match will be postponed or canceled. Therefore, the away team, Binh Duong Club, has become passive in preparation.

According to Thanh Nien , Binh Duong Club is still practicing to prepare for the matches in V-League. However, up to this point, the team has not yet moved to Nha Trang ( Khanh Hoa ). According to the V-League 2023 - 2024 regulations, during the tournament, if any club voluntarily withdraws from the tournament, that club will be relegated to compete in the national third-division football tournament from the 2024 - 2025 season and will be subject to disciplinary action according to the regulations of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). Regarding the competition results, all competition results in terms of points and goals (if any) between this club and other clubs will be canceled. VPF will report to VFF to decide on the appropriate number of clubs to compete in the national first-division football tournament 2024 - 2025.

Thus, if Khanh Hoa FC withdraws from the tournament, they will have to play in the 3rd division from next season. The results of matches between Khanh Hoa FC and other teams (in the first 4 rounds) will not be counted. Based on the schedule arranged from the beginning of the season, in each round, the team that meets Khanh Hoa FC will be given a break.
