Motorcycle sales in the first quarter of 2025 increased by 11.48%

(CT) - According to statistics from the Vietnam Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (VAMM), motorcycle sales in the first quarter of 2025 reached 673,055 vehicles, an increase of 11.48% over the same period in 2024. Thus, on average, the Vietnamese market consumed more than 7,478 motorcycles per day in the first 3 months of 2025.

VAMM currently has 5 members including Honda Vietnam, Yamaha Motor Vietnam, Piaggio Vietnam, Vietnam Suzuki and SYM Vietnam. These companies provide nearly 100 models from manual transmission, scooters to large-displacement motorcycles, meeting the diverse needs of many consumers. VAMM members not only continuously launch new models but also apply flexible promotional and after-sales policies, creating favorable conditions for consumers. In addition, the policy of reducing value-added tax according to Decree 180/2024/ND-CP of the Government, vehicles with a cylinder capacity of 125cc or less and electric motorbikes are subject to a preferential VAT rate of 8% in the first half of 2025. Thereby, contributing to boosting sales and contributing to the overall growth of the whole market in the first quarter.
