The first Vietnam Fruit Festival with the theme “Vietnamese Fruits - Four Seasons of Deliciousness” took place at Tan Phat Dia Agricultural Products Distribution Center, Phong Dai District, Beijing, China for 2 days, September 29-30. The festival was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam in coordination with the Embassy of Vietnam in China and the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association.
On the morning of September 30, within the framework of the Fruit Festival, the Department of Quality, Processing and Market Development (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam) in collaboration with the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam), the Plant Protection Department and the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association organized the "Trade Forum, connecting the import and export supply chain of Vietnam - China fruits".
After listening to the speakers' sharing, as well as analyzing the potential and cooperation opportunities between the two countries, at the forum, Vietnamese and Chinese units and enterprises conducted a signing ceremony for business cooperation to promote the export of agricultural and aquatic products.

Specifically, Vietnamese and Chinese units and enterprises have carried out 4 signings. These are the signings between Ameii Vietnam Joint Stock Company and Beijing New Cooperation Development Company; Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association and China Fruit Association; Vina T&T Group Import-Export Company and Beijing Yundian Food Science and Technology Development Company Limited; Vina T&T Group Import-Export Company and Asia Trade Transaction Company Limited.
Currently, Asia Trading Co., Ltd. has its office and headquarters located at Beijing Wholesale Market (Tan Thien Dia). This is a reputable and large-scale fresh fruit distributor in China.
According to preliminary statistics, in just 3 months, this unit has imported 100 containers of fruits from Vietnam to China. It is known that Asia Trading Trading Company Limited has a need to buy Vietnamese fruits such as dragon fruit, coconut, durian, mango. Along with that, this unit wants to buy frozen durian when there are official export documents; buy grapefruit for official export to China. Regarding the signing of purchase contracts with Vina T&T Group Import-Export Company or consignment goods for sale at the market, prices will be announced according to market prices.
In terms of capacity, for Beijing New Cooperation Development Company - a member of the Convenience Group with 1,400 stores and an underground store system. In addition, the Group also provides meals for the school system and agencies in Beijing. The signing of cooperation agreements between Vietnamese enterprises and Chinese enterprises opens up new prospects in trade promotion, promoting the effectiveness of export activities between the two countries to develop more and more strongly.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, although it was only held for the first time, the Festival attracted and gathered many large export enterprises of fresh fruits and processed fruit products from Vietnam to display, introduce products and serve Chinese consumers.
This is a good opportunity for Vietnamese producers and suppliers to introduce and promote their brands and images of typical fruit products, as well as to meet and seek customers, enhance trade activities, and build sustainable cooperative relationships with potential partners in fruit import in China. At the same time, it is a favorable opportunity for a large number of Chinese consumers to directly experience the quality and unique, distinctive flavors of Vietnamese fruits, thereby helping to promote the national brand for agricultural products in general and Vietnamese fruits in particular to the Chinese market.
Previously, with the joint efforts of both sides, high-quality Vietnamese fruits such as durian, dragon fruit, banana, mango, etc. have been available on the Chinese market. At the same time, food products produced in Vietnam such as coffee, pho, etc. are also favored by many Chinese consumers.
Along with the comprehensive implementation of the RCEP Agreement as well as the continuous upgrading of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement, cooperation between the two countries in technology, standards, and agricultural production has increasingly developed in a more extensive direction.
