On April 3, the second edition of the three-day Startup Mahakumbh 2025 organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India officially kicked off at the Bharat Mandapam Exhibition and Convention Center in New Delhi to provide startups with opportunities for funding, networking and global connections.
Startup Mahakumbh will make a splash in Delhi. Dubbed as the world’s largest event for innovation and entrepreneurship, the event will bring together over 3,000 startups, over 1,000 investors and incubators, and over 10,000 delegates from over 50 countries.
Speaking at Startup Mahakumbh 2025, Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted the challenges in the startup sector, pointing out that many domestic startups are too focused on food delivery apps and hyper-fast logistics.
“Instead of any innovation in deep tech or industries with greater impact, they often turn unemployed youth into cheap labor,” he said.
Minister Goyal pointed out that the deep tech sector, which has the potential to drive India's future growth, is still underdeveloped, with only about 1,000 startups currently involved in the sector. Describing the figure as a "worrying situation," the Commerce and Industry Minister added that there is a need to focus more on deep tech innovation to remain globally competitive. He called for inspiring the next generation to innovate to come up with breakthrough solutions that will drive economic growth.
For the first time attending Startup Mahakumbh, the Vietnamese delegation of 15 enterprises led by the National Startup Association brought their most unique services and products. This activity is meaningful, especially after the Politburo issued Resolution 57 on promoting innovation, digital transformation and startups.
Participating in this large startup fair will help Vietnamese businesses learn from India and other countries about startup initiatives and apply them to digital transformation, and is also a good opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to introduce and promote startup products to the world.
In addition, through seminars and workshops at Startup Mahakumbh 2025, Vietnamese businesses can learn from the world's leading businesses about innovation methods.

According to the Vietnamese Trade Counselor in India, Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, the Vietnamese business delegation participated in three main areas of the fair. The first is the agricultural sector, in which Vietnam takes advantage of new technology in intensive production as well as harvesting. The second is the science and technology sector. The third is the tourism and education sector.
According to Mr. Thuong, Vietnamese technology products presented at the fair were very popular with the Indian side. Some Vietnamese technologies were considered superior to their Indian counterparts. In addition, Vietnam also introduced new business models.
One of the outstanding products of Vietnam at this fair is the tourism-related social networking app Xintel of LNP Solution Group. In addition to applications similar to other social networks, Xintel has 3 outstanding features such as users can have online meetings without time limits or number of participants; users are provided with a free e-sim that can be used in 195 countries; the AI version in Xintel helps users translate when traveling to 195 countries. In addition, LNP Solution also introduced another product, the education-related social networking app Educhain.
According to Ms. Nguyen Hoai Vi, Director of Business Development, Enterprise Development of LNP Solution Group, LNP wants to promote products “100% made in Vietnam” to India - a country with strong technology development. If Xintel and Educhain products can develop well in the Indian market, there is no reason why they cannot develop in other countries around the world./.
