As the Lunar New Year 2025 approaches, people's travel needs are expected to increase sharply. To ensure smooth traffic and no one has to worry about transportation, authorities and transportation businesses in the province have implemented a detailed plan to best serve people during the holiday.
Passengers buy tickets at Duc Phat bus station.
36 Travel Joint Stock Company has only been in operation for a short time, but with a smart business strategy and outstanding service quality, the company has quickly won the trust of customers. In particular, the Thanh Hoa - Hanoi route and vice versa has become a familiar choice for many passengers. During the recent New Year, the company served about 1,000 passengers per day.
Following that success, from the beginning of January 2025, the company has made detailed plans and prepared carefully to meet the increasing travel needs of people during the Lunar New Year. With the goal of serving customers in the fastest and most convenient way, the company has deployed a 24/7 call center service to support passengers in booking tickets anytime, anywhere. In addition to traditional ticket booking channels via phone, Facebook, Zalo, passengers can now also check their own trip information such as departure time, route, or book tickets directly through the company's website and mobile application. This convenience not only helps passengers save time but also increases satisfaction with the company's services.
To ensure service quality, the company also requires all drivers to focus 100% on their work, always maintain a sense of responsibility and strictly comply with traffic safety regulations. This includes absolutely not using alcohol, stimulants or any factors that can affect driving ability, to ensure absolute safety for customers as well as for vehicles participating in traffic.
According to information from the bus company management, up to now, almost all tickets have been booked by customers, showing the excitement and bustle of the transportation market during this peak time. Although the number of customers booking tickets has increased sharply, the bus company's ticket prices have remained the same and have not been adjusted, helping passengers feel secure when choosing the service without having to worry about price increases during the Tet holiday. This not only demonstrates the company's commitment to bringing benefits to customers but also contributes to creating a stable and convenient travel environment during the holiday.
Similarly, Duc Phat International Transport Company Limited (operating Thanh Hoa - Hanoi and Thanh Hoa - Da Nang routes) has also proactively developed a detailed passenger transport plan for each route during the Lunar New Year this year. The company mobilized all existing vehicles and prepared spare vehicles to promptly respond to the situation of a sudden increase in passengers during the peak season. It is expected to increase the number of trips and expand service routes to best meet the travel needs of passengers. In addition to preparing vehicles, Duc Phat also invested a significant amount of money in checking, maintaining, repairing and refurbishing the entire fleet, to ensure the quality and technical safety of vehicles when participating in traffic. This not only helps increase passenger peace of mind but also contributes to creating safe and smooth trips throughout the journey.
To optimally meet the travel needs of people during the Lunar New Year, Duc Phat will maintain fixed bus routes until the 29th of Tet, helping passengers return home in time to celebrate Tet with their families. After that, from the 4th of Tet, bus routes will return to normal operation, continuing to serve the travel needs of passengers in the following days of the holiday.
At the Northern and Southern bus stations (Thanh Hoa City), the number of passengers entering and leaving the station during the days before Tet is expected to increase sharply, estimated to increase by 25-30% compared to the same period last year. In order to allocate appropriately and ensure sufficient service for travel needs, the bus station management board will coordinate with transport companies to increase the number of vehicles to relieve the crowded passenger volume. At the same time, the management board will also work closely with the local security force to maintain order and ensure absolute safety for passengers throughout the journey.
According to the assessment of the Director of Thanh Hoa Bus Station Management and Operation Joint Stock Company, Le Dinh Lich: “The two weeks before Tet is the peak time for the passenger transport industry when workers and students start returning to their hometowns to celebrate Tet. It is forecasted that the number of passengers passing through the bus stations during this period will increase by about 200% compared to normal days. To prepare for this sudden increase, each bus station will arrange 2 to 3 backup vehicles ready to increase when necessary.
In addition, the company also requires bus stations and representative offices to clean and ensure a comfortable space for passengers, while arranging enough seats to serve the needs of customers. The food and beverage areas at the bus stations will also be rearranged neatly and reasonably. In addition, the company will strengthen safety inspections at the bus stations, ensuring that all vehicles meet all technical and safety standards before leaving the station. Traffic safety procedures will be strictly implemented, and the company will also closely coordinate with the authorities to handle vehicles entering and leaving the station in accordance with regulations, ensuring convenience and safety for passengers.
To meet the travel needs of passengers during the Tet holiday, the Department of Transport has requested transport businesses to sign a commitment not to increase ticket prices and strictly comply with traffic safety regulations. Traffic inspection forces will increase inspections at bus stations and major routes, ensuring that vehicles operate in accordance with regulations. Vehicles will be thoroughly inspected for technical condition, with special attention paid to stopping and parking to pick up passengers in the wrong places. Vehicles that do not meet technical requirements will be removed from the list of operations during the Tet holiday, to ensure absolute safety for passengers.
In addition, buses and coaches will be organized on time to avoid delays or traffic jams. Traffic safety propaganda will also be stepped up, especially reminding people about the harmful effects of drinking and driving and encouraging compliance with traffic rules, ensuring the safety of all passengers throughout the journey.
