Choose students with passion and determination
Ms. Pham Thi Dieu Anh, CEO of AIM Academy, a member of the jury of the YouBranding personal branding competition organized by the University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City, said that she had just "marked" a number of contestants of this competition to discuss and interview for staff positions.
"Right from the first round of the competition, we saw that the students were very active, demonstrating their skills, knowledge of personal branding, talent, creativity and presentation skills through activities such as planning and designing unique media publications," said Ms. Dieu Anh.

In addition, candidates also self-publish content, create images and build professional networks on social media channels. According to Ms. Dieu Anh, the further the students go, the more they demonstrate their outstanding abilities. Among them, there are some candidates who have made a strong impression on this judge.
"I decided to meet some candidates to discuss. Among them, I am inviting one candidate to work for the design department at my unit. This candidate has good design ability, passion and determination to participate in the competition to overcome his own limitations. Those are qualities that I highly appreciate," Ms. Dieu Anh shared.
According to Ms. Dieu Anh, academic competitions at universities have provided a source of quality recruitment for businesses. "Businesses have time to accompany candidates through many rounds of competition, so they understand the strengths and weaknesses of candidates, thereby choosing suitable candidates. Meanwhile, if recruiting from other sources, businesses only have 15-30 minutes for interviews, and cannot understand candidates well," Ms. Dieu Anh acknowledged.
