Enterprises lease more than 1/3 of land in VSIP Can Tho Industrial Park even though site clearance has not been completed

On August 5, VSIP Can Tho Joint Stock Company said that so far, 18 enterprises have registered to lease more than 100 hectares, accounting for more than 1/3 of the area of ​​VSIP Can Tho Industrial Park, with project investment capital of about 200 million USD.

According to plan, in the second quarter of 2025, the land will be handed over to businesses to lease land to build factories.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tao - Director of the Land Fund Development Center of Can Tho City - said that the site clearance work has paid 561/602 cases with the amount of more than 1,100 billion VND, equivalent to nearly 262 hectares.

At the same time, the resettlement policy for affected households was approved, of which 70 cases were granted resettlement land and 167 cases were eligible to purchase resettlement land.

"With many solutions, we strive to hand over 100% of the land to the industrial park investor by the end of September 2024 according to the direction of the city leaders," said Mr. Tao.

VSIP Can Tho Industrial Park Phase 1 in Vinh Thanh District is over 293 hectares wide, with a total investment of over VND 3,717 billion. When put into operation, it is expected to create jobs for about 20,000 - 30,000 workers in Can Tho city and neighboring localities.
