Many businesses in Hue City reported that they encountered difficulties in updating administrative boundary information procedures when Hue City was under central authority.
Specifically, from February 1, 2025, Hue City under the central government will be officially established and the old name of Thua Thien Hue province will no longer exist.
To facilitate business, many enterprises in Hue City have submitted documents to the Department of Planning and Investment of Hue City to update their addresses in their business licenses as well as documents related to tax payment.
However, many businesses in Phu Xuan and Phu Loc districts reported that they have not been able to update the new administrative boundary name on their business licenses.
A business owner in Phu Xuan district (Hue city) said that although he submitted an application to update business information online to the system of the Hue City Department of Planning and Investment, it was rejected.
The reason the business's profile was not accepted by the tax authority was because the information was not synchronized in the tax system of the General Department of Taxation.
According to this business owner, the refusal to update business information will affect the unit's transactions with partners because the company's invoices, contracts, and seals do not update administrative boundary information as Hue City.
“As simple as remaking a seal, the seal engraving facility has not agreed to make a new seal for us because the business license has not changed the administrative boundary information to Hue City,” said the business owner.
Mr. Ha Van Khoa, Director of the Hue City Tax Department, affirmed that the issuance of tax invoices in transactions of enterprises in the area is still taking place normally, even when the enterprise has not changed the administrative boundary information on the business license.
“We are making great efforts to communicate with the General Department of Taxation and continue to coordinate with the Department of Planning and Investment of Hue City in promoting the change of administrative boundary information of enterprises.
Regarding invoice issuance, businesses that have completed or have not completed updating administrative boundary information can still issue invoices as usual, without affecting business operations," said Mr. Khoa.
A leader of the Department of Planning and Investment of Hue City said that the unit is currently mobilizing maximum human resources, working day and night, including weekends, to carry out the conversion of necessary procedures and update business licenses for enterprises in the area.
