A domestic enterprise has cooperative relationships with many European enterprises, ready to connect to bring European enterprises to Ninh Thuan to produce world-class wine.

On the afternoon of October 18, in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province, Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee to organize a conference to connect and promote investment in Ninh Thuan.

Speaking to a large number of investors, Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, said that the planning of Ninh Thuan province for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, identifies 5 breakthrough areas including: energy, renewable energy; high-quality tourism; processing and manufacturing industry; high-tech agriculture; real estate.

In the coming years, Ninh Thuan will determine to take two new growth drivers: marine economy and urban economy.

Mr. Tran Quoc Nam (standing), Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, answered some issues of concern to investors.

At the conference, Ninh Thuan province announced calling for investment in 18 trade, service and tourism projects; 14 construction and real estate projects; 9 energy and renewable energy projects; 9 manufacturing and processing industry projects and 5 high-tech agricultural projects.

Interested in some investment fields in Ninh Thuan, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, General Director of Vitrac Joint Stock Company, said that he used to live in Germany, then returned to Vietnam to invest in many fields such as transportation, real estate, waste treatment, etc. for 20 years now.

According to Mr. Son, Ninh Thuan province has a very large and famous grape growing area but has not yet taken advantage of it to invest in wine factories producing grape wine with the same quality as the world's wines.

“With cooperative relationships with many wine production partners from countries such as France, Italy, and Spain, we are ready to introduce and connect European businesses to Ninh Thuan to invest in grape wine chest factories,” Mr. Son proposed to the leaders of Ninh Thuan province at the conference.

In addition, this businessman also said that his company is cooperating with a German financial group to invest in the renewable energy sector and is researching projects to invest in Ninh Thuan.

At the conference, a number of foreign business associations in Dong Nai were also interested in a number of areas attracting investment in Ninh Thuan. Mr. Tien Kun Chang, Chairman of the Taiwan (China) Chamber of Commerce in Dong Nai, assessed that Ninh Thuan province has a lot of potential for businesses to invest. The association is ready to transfer information about the areas that Ninh Thuan province wants to attract investment to Taiwanese (China) businesses. Therefore, he suggested that Ninh Thuan province needs to have a contact point for businesses to contact to find out information when needed.

Discussing with investors about investing in a grape wine factory, Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, said that there were times when the grape growing area in Ninh Thuan was up to 3,000 hectares, and there was a time when grapes were the crop that made Ninh Thuan farmers rich. However, due to many difficulties in growing grapes, the current area is only 2,000 hectares.

Mr. Nam said that in Ninh Thuan, there are currently businesses producing grape wine, but the quality is only average. The Chairman of the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee added that the province is researching and testing the cultivation of grapes specifically used to produce wine like those in European countries.

Ninh Thuan provincial leaders pledged to create the most favorable conditions for businesses to research, survey, collect information and carry out investment registration procedures so that the province can attract projects as planned.

Also within the framework of the conference, departments and branches of Ninh Thuan province signed 5 memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with businesses to invest in the fields of energy, industrial park infrastructure, etc.
