Ben Thanh Market Operator: General Director Resigns After 9 Years of Operation

The Board of Directors of Ben Thanh Trading and Service Joint Stock Company has dismissed Mr. Tran Huu Hoang Vu from the position of General Director after 9 years in office. At the same time, the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors has also changed.

According to the decision of the Board of Directors of Ben Thanh Trading - Service Joint Stock Company ( Ben Thanh TSC ), Mr. Tran Huu Hoang Vu will no longer hold the position of General Director and legal representative from January 1, 2025.

Mr. Vu is obliged to hand over all records, documents, certificates, and assets of the company to his successor. Mr. Vu's successor is Ms. Nguyen Viet Hoa - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ben Thanh TSC .

After sitting in the executive chair of the board of directors since the beginning of the new year, Ms. Hoa will also transfer the position of chairman of the board of directors to Mr. Pham Hoang Liem, according to the new decision of the board of directors .

Previously, Mr. Tran Huu Hoang Vu submitted his resignation on December 12, after 9 years of taking over the "hot seat" of general director.

Mentioning in his resignation letter, Mr. Vu said: as the general director and legal representative of the company since the beginning of 2016 until now, during this process he has made every effort with the executive board to complete and surpass the goals assigned by the shareholders' meeting.

With the above major changes, the new board of directors of Ben Thanh TSC includes Mr. Pham Hoang Liem - Chairman, and 3 members: businesswoman Truong Nguyen Thien Kim (wife of Mr. To Hai - General Director of Vietcap Securities), Ms. Bui Thi Thu Thuy, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuong Nga.

Previously, at this year's annual general meeting of shareholders, Ben Thanh TSC elected 5 members of the board of directors , including 1 independent member and 3 members of the board of supervisors for the 2024 - 2029 term.

According to the annual report, Ben Thanh TSC operates mainly in the fields of trade, real estate services and financial investment; in which the commercial business area is in the center of Ben Thanh Dong (Ben Thanh market), Dan Sinh Center (Dan Sinh market)...

In the decision of the company's board of directors on December 20, this enterprise agreed to terminate the operations of the branch in Ben Thanh Tay Center.
