Businesses “attract” potential candidates with brand image
A reputable brand not only affirms the position of the enterprise in the labor market, but also contributes to retaining employees by creating a positive and sustainable working environment.
Results of a quick survey of businesses recently published by Viet Research show that 65.5% of businesses believe that investing in brand image helps create a difference and attract potential candidates.
Meanwhile, more than 80% of VALUE500 enterprises prioritize sustainable development by participating in environmental protection activities, minimizing the negative impact of business activities on the environment.
According to a research report by Viet Research, within the next 3 years, 75.9% of businesses predict that environmental and sustainable development policies will have a major impact on the way employees work.
In particular, businesses clearly recognize that integrating sustainable elements not only helps limit environmental impacts but also contributes to building a friendly and responsible corporate image towards the community.
According to Mr. Le Trong Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Investment Newspaper, despite having to adapt to a changing environment, most businesses are still pursuing sustainable development values from governance, digital transformation associated with artificial intelligence applications, paying attention to social responsibility, from the working environment to providing additional outstanding values to customers.
“This is an important foundation to improve productivity and product quality of enterprises, while also positively impacting the labor market as competent and highly qualified personnel are still welcomed, and skilled workers are still recruited by many factories,” said Mr. Le Trong Minh.
Editor-in-Chief of Investment Newspaper - Le Trong Minh said: "Adapting to changes has become the principle of many business leaders during this time". |
According to Mr. Vu Minh Khuong, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (National University of Singapore), the world is facing many problems, with unpredictable fluctuations. Enterprises need to prepare themselves to cope with these turning points, in which, talented human resources are the solution that enterprises need to focus on attracting.
Also related to the story of sustainable development, Dr. Vo Tri Thanh, Director of the Institute for Brand Strategy and Competitiveness Research, commented that green transformation and digital transformation are technological "revolutions" that have been mentioned a lot recently.
However, according to Mr. Thanh, the most revolutionary feature of green transformation and digital transformation is not technology but institutions. This factor creates a completely different way of operating than before, requiring businesses to adapt, change their production methods, business methods, lifestyles, corporate governance, and use of human resources.
In addition, current consumer trends require green, safe, humane products and business models based on the circular economy model, which is a market imperative, requiring businesses to adapt if they want to meet the new requirements of current consumer trends.
According to Dr. Adam McCarty, chief economist at Mekong Economics Consulting, high-income economies require a high proportion of skilled workers. This is considered a challenge for Vietnam because the source of high-quality labor, especially in the fields of finance, information technology, and renewable energy in Vietnam is currently limited.
Dr. Adam McCarty said that Vietnam can implement some solutions such as shifting from labor-intensive final assembly activities to high-value activities that are intensive in skills and technology. To do so, it needs to build on the foundation of a highly skilled workforce, creating superior productivity.
Notably, according to a survey by Viet Research, 93.1% of businesses believe that automation and artificial intelligence (AI) will continue to play an important role in the working process of employees in the coming time.
Market research firm Gartner also believes that AI will top the list of strategic technology trends by 2025. AI human resources are becoming an inevitable trend in businesses, bringing $2 billion in benefits to global businesses each year.
In Vietnam, AI human resources have great potential to develop as investment resources for AI in general increase. Despite the great potential for breakthroughs, AI human resources still face many difficulties when applied to large-scale enterprises in Vietnam. One of the basic reasons is that the development process of these companies often takes several decades, leading to many technological gaps.
