Sharing with hundreds of senior students in the exchange program "Threshold of Life" recently organized by Ho Chi Minh City International College, Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, representative of FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company, said that he himself is also part of the young generation, having looked for many different jobs during his studies.

Mr. Thanh said that students spend 2-3 years to complete a good CV (Curriculum Vitae) that impresses businesses. According to a survey, most graduates expect to find a starting salary ranging from 10-20 million VND.

As a recruiting agency, Mr. Thanh affirmed that the company does not require new graduates to have work experience in a certain position. Between attitude and qualifications, the company prioritizes choosing workers with good attitudes.

"Attitude accounts for 70%, skills account for 26% and the remaining 4% depends on the knowledge of the job applicant. Generation Z is a very potential workforce, however, in many cases young people behave inappropriately and often "jump" jobs, which makes businesses hesitant to recruit" - Mr. Thanh said.

When students asked for further discussion, specifically what is a person with a good attitude? Mr. Thanh clearly stated 8 golden factors including self-study spirit, confidence, responsibility, optimism, cooperation, integrity, honesty, and more dedication.

Ms. Dinh Thi Tuyet Trinh, Human Resources Director of Alta Group, said that when accepting interns or probationary employees, the company prepares a seat and, depending on the job, will provide a personal computer. However, some young people do not go to work with the mindset of dedicating, studying, and contributing to the organization.

"If you don't have any work experience, attitude is a must. The agency is always ready to train, the 8-hour working period is an opportunity for young people to improve their skills, not just to check in and leave work" - Ms. Trinh commented.

In addition, businesses also believe that students should not abuse artificial intelligence (AI) tools to create a perfect and attractive CV. After just a period of working, businesses can completely check the ability of employees, so they need to be honest and straightforward right from the first recruitment.

According to Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City VocationalEducation Association, communication and interaction between the two sides have become more difficult because Gen Z always has high expectations for employers, and their fear of risk is also higher... Therefore, employers need to make more efforts in changing and improving the recruitment process, in order to create a good recruitment experience and gain the trust of candidates.
