On October 11, the 2023 International Exhibition on Livestock , Animal Feed, Aquaculture and Meat Processing in Vietnam (Vietstock 2023) opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (HCMC), with the participation of more than 350 units from more than 30 countries and territories such as China, Thailand, Korea...
The exhibition takes place from October 11 to 13.
This is a leading industry event providing a panoramic view of the livestock sector in Vietnam, organized by Informa Markets Group in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development since 2004.
According to records, on the first day of opening, with many areas displaying unique products from different countries such as the egg booth; sustainable development booth; technology and product introduction area, animal feed, etc., Vietstock 2023 attracted a large number of visitors to visit and promote.
Speaking at the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien said that over the years, livestock farming has always played an important role in maintaining the growth rate of the agricultural sector.
Specifically, in the past 10 years, the growth of the livestock industry has been maintained at 5-7%/year, the output of all kinds of meat has increased 1.8 times, eggs have increased 2.9 times; and fresh milk has increased 3.7 times.

"In 2022 alone, the livestock industry's production value will reach 23.7 billion USD, accounting for nearly 27% of the agricultural production value and 5.8% of the country's total GDP.
In particular, livestock farming has created livelihoods for more than 10 million rural workers, ensuring food supply for 100 million people and exports," Mr. Tien emphasized.
According to the organizers, in addition to exhibition and direct connection activities, Vietstock 2023 also helps exhibitors and visitors connect online.
The online networking program allows businesses to update their profiles, products, and contact information. The event is expected to attract more than 11,000 visitors from many countries and territories.
During the exhibition, many specialized conferences and seminars were also held, creating a space for leading experts and businesses to disseminate the latest innovative solutions, experiences and techniques for the livestock industry.
Before the exhibition, Vietstock also organized a series of 5 seminars on the livestock industry.
In 9 months, livestock products exports reached 369 million USD
In the first nine months of this year, the export value of livestock products reached 369 million USD, up 26.4% over the same period last year.
In the context of a rapidly growing global population and increasing demand for food in both quantity and quality, developing effective, food-safe and sustainable livestock farming to meet this demand is an issue that the Vietnamese Government is very interested in and supports.
