The 2025 United Nations Day of Vesak will take place from May 6 to 8 in Ho Chi Minh City. The important event of the festival is the procession of the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni - the national treasure of India - to Vietnam for enshrinement from May 2 to 21 in Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh province, Hanoi city and Ha Nam province.
As planned, the program to welcome the Buddha's relics in Ha Nam will take place from May 17 to 21. The relics will be welcomed and placed at Tam The Temple for people, Buddhists, and pilgrims to worship.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Anh Chuc - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Ha Nam province is proud to be the locality that successfully organized the United Nations Vesak Festival in 2019. This year, Tam Chuc Pagoda is honored to welcome the relics of Buddha Shakyamuni to be enshrined at Tam Chuc Pagoda on the occasion of the United Nations Vesak Festival 2025.
This event will attract great attention from Buddhists inside and outside the province, so Ha Nam province commits to the working delegation and the Indian Embassy to absolutely ensure the safety of the Buddha's relics - India's national treasure.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Raina said that he was very impressed with the preparations of Ha Nam province and Tam Chuc pagoda for this event. He affirmed that this promises to be a solemn international Buddhist event and has a profound symbolic meaning for the spiritual relationship between Buddhism in India and Vietnam. This is also an opportunity to honor the values of compassion, wisdom and solidarity, contributing to spreading the message of peace and sustainable development to the whole world .
After the working session, the advance delegation inspected the Tam The Temple - where the relics of Buddha Sakyamuni are enshrined. At the same time, Ha Nam province deployed a detailed and specific plan to welcome and enshrine the relics of Buddha at Tam Chuc Pagoda.
