Binh Xuyen Youth Union applies digital transformation in promoting historical relics

The Youth Union of Binh Xuyen district currently has 22 Youth Union bases, 350 grassroots Youth Union branches with a total of 5,162 Youth Union members. Carrying out the tasks assigned by the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee, up to now, 100% of the Youth Unions of communes and towns in Binh Xuyen have applied information technology in propagating, introducing, and promoting a number of red addresses, historical - cultural relics in the district. By the end of 2024, 13 relics had QR codes attached.

These are youth projects aimed at building digital maps, digitizing documents, artifacts, and information about historical sites and red addresses at historical sites and relics. The youth project is designed through 2 QR codes, digitized by the Youth Union at all levels on 2 applications: The first QR code is the Graphic design, describing the history and historical relics of the communal house through a pdf file (including text and illustrations).

The second QR code is a 15-20 minute video clip, explaining and introducing the history and culture of the historical and cultural relic site, associated with familiar and close images and traditional cultural activities taking place at the relic site along with the daily activities of local people.

By simply scanning the QR code on a smartphone, officials, party members, union members, people and tourists can access and learn about data information introducing the characteristics of historical and cultural relics such as formation history, historical figures associated with the relic, construction date, transformation process, cultural value, architectural beauty, relic address map, etc.

Most recently, on the occasion of launching Youth Month 2025, Binh Xuyen District Youth Union chose Tran Hung Dao Campaign Martyrs Cemetery as the 14th location to place QR codes, this is the resting place of martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Tran Hung Dao campaign.

The QR code will provide full information, images, videos, stories about martyrs and information about the Tran Hung Dao campaign. From there, educating the young generation about revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyles associated with the nation's ethics of "When drinking water, remember its source" and "Repaying gratitude".

At the same time, attaching QR codes at historical sites and red addresses also helps people and tourists easily look up information, history of formation, and architectural beauty of the sites quickly, fully and vividly; bringing visitors new and attractive experiences; arousing love and pride in national cultural traditions, contributing to spreading heritage values ​​in modern life.

Tran Hung Dao Campaign Martyrs Cemetery is the 14th location in the area to be assigned a QR code by Binh Xuyen District Youth Union on the occasion of launching Youth Month 2025.

Along with digitizing red addresses, historical and cultural relics, to promote the pioneering spirit of young people in propagating and introducing key relics and cultural works in the area, the District Youth Union Executive Committee also launched a Club to propagate and introduce key relics and cultural works in the district.

The Club's Executive Committee includes members of the District Youth Union, Youth Union Secretaries of communes, towns and affiliated Youth Unions; each unit selects 5 cadres and young union members to participate as members of the Club.

The Club is responsible for coordinating with relevant authorities and departments to collect, edit, design content and organize propaganda and introduce cultural relics and works in the area in direct or online forms on different platforms, ensuring the accuracy of information content.

Through the content of the activities, it has contributed to preserving and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics, while promoting the image of the homeland and people of Binh Xuyen to all parts of the country.
