From December 14 to 16, a delegation of artisans from Gia Lai province participated in activities at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival held in Quang Tri province.

The festival has the theme "Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Vietnamese ethnic groups with equality, solidarity, respect, integration and development for a peaceful world", bringing together 16 provinces and cities to participate.
The troupe made an impression at the Festival with a special performance, recreating the cultural space of the Central Highlands gongs on the opening night with the theme "Convergence of Colors".
The troupe also participated in the main activities within the framework of the festival such as: performing folk songs, folk dances, traditional musical instruments with the following performances: instrumental ensemble "Gia Lai enters the festival" (arranged by distinguished artist Ro Cham Tih), solo "Con oi dung khoc" (Jrai folk song), male-female duet "Em dep nhu hoa po lang" (composed by Phi Ung), male trio "Ruoc nuoc ve lang" (Jrai folk song). The Gia Lai province troupe of artists also performed and introduced traditional male-female costumes of the Jrai and Bahnar ethnic groups; reenacted the new communal house worship ceremony of the Jrai people...

The Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival features many activities such as: mass art performances, ethnic costume performances, introductions of festival excerpts and traditional cultural rituals of ethnic groups. Along with that are activities of displaying, introducing and promoting traditional culture; performing, processing and introducing unique ethnic cuisine of the localities; sports activities and folk games such as stick pushing, tug of war, crossbow shooting, etc.
Within the framework of the Festival, there will also be a photo exhibition with the theme "Ethnic minorities in Vietnam accompany the country's development" and an exhibition "Cultural colors of Vietnamese ethnic groups"...
The event aims to honor the traditional cultural values of Vietnamese ethnic communities across the country; honor the intelligence and creativity of the community in preserving and promoting cultural identity.
