Economic - Defense Group 379 (Military Region 2) summarizes the second phase of Project 174 of the Ministry of National Defense

On April 10, Economic - Defense Group 379 (Military Region 2) held a conference to review the second phase of the Project "Enhancing young intellectual volunteers to work in economic - defense zones in the period of 2021-2030" according to Decision No. 174/QD-TTg dated January 19, 2010 of the Prime Minister until the end of 2030 (referred to as Project 174).

According to the assessment, during the implementation process, the Project Management Board (PMU) regularly thoroughly grasped and strictly followed the leadership, direction, guidance and regulations of superiors and the Ministry of National Defense. The organization implemented the correct procedures, principles, working regulations and assigned functions and tasks. The selection of young volunteer intellectuals (TTTTN) was ensured to be strict, public, democratic and in accordance with regulations; team members actively participated in activities contributing to socio-economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction.

Notably, it is necessary to build pilot models of livestock and crop production; disseminate and mobilize people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; help people build a new cultural life, eat and live hygienically; foster cultural knowledge for people and students to basically achieve the set goals, contributing to changing the face of rural areas in the area.

Performance by young volunteer intellectuals at the conference.

During the implementation process, the Youth Union members promoted their roles and responsibilities well, working side by side with the cadres and civil servants of the 379th Economic-Defense Group to eat, live, and work together with the people. Organize propaganda and participate in socio-economic development, hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and promote social policies in the locality; actively coordinate with local departments, branches, and organizations to strengthen national defense, propagate and mobilize people not to migrate freely; implement projects to plan for stable population, mobilize and directly guide people to innovate production methods, apply scientific and technical advances in animal husbandry, cultivation, and transform the structure of crops and livestock.

Along with that, coordinating technical guidance on care and pest control for nearly 2,360 people in 20 communes; guiding the construction of concentrated livestock barns for more than 1,250 people; participating in repairing and cleaning rural roads, dredging canals, and repairing schools with more than 380 working days; coordinating propaganda on disease prevention and control, examining and providing medicine for 1,220 people; vaccinating and giving medicine to prevent diseases for 680 children...
