The Politburo's inspection delegation works with the Standing Committee of Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee

On September 5, Inspection Delegation No. 1350 of the Politburo, led by Comrade Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, conducted an inspection of the Standing Committee of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee.

At the meeting, the Central Internal Affairs Commission announced Decision No. 1350 dated July 9, 2024 of the Politburo establishing an Inspection Team to inspect the leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party; at the same time, approved the plan, outline and working schedule at the Standing Committee of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee and listened to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee summarize the results of the self-inspection.

At the meeting, comrade Phan Dinh Trac raised a number of issues that need to be noted during the inspection process of the Delegation, including: The 13th Party Congress documents identified 12 orientations, 6 key tasks, 3 strategic breakthroughs; requested the Inspection Delegation as well as members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to complete their action programs in accordance with the characteristics and nature of the locality.

Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee inspected the progress and implementation results; which tasks were completed, which tasks were about to be completed, which tasks were not completed, and the subjective and objective causes that the province could overcome. From there, responsibilities were clarified with the Central Government, especially the implementation of Program 14 of the Provincial Party Committee and Program 4338 of the Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee.

Comrade Phan Dinh Trac requested the members of the Inspection Team to closely coordinate with Party committees, Party organizations, agencies and units being inspected to complete the purposes, requirements and contents to be noted so that the inspection process is carried out well, in accordance with the Party's regulations on inspection work, ensuring practicality and effectiveness.

The ultimate goal of the inspection work is to contribute to better and more effective implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Congress.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Tam said that the Provincial Party Executive Committee, term XI, has led the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution and documents specifying the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025 in a context of mixed advantages and difficulties.

However, with the motto "Democracy - Discipline - Solidarity - Creativity - Development", the Party Committee, government and people of Ben Tre province focused on and made efforts to overcome difficulties, implementing the Resolution and achieving a number of important and outstanding results.

Over 4 years (from 2021-2024) in the socio-economic field: 8/17 targets reached over 80% compared to the Resolution target, 6/17 targets reached over 50%; 1/17 targets reached under 50%; economic growth target (GRDP) reached 4.97%, 3.53% lower than the target of the 5-year period; economic structure shifted in the right direction.

The movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life continues to be maintained and developed in a standard and quality direction, achieving positive results.

Poverty reduction work is focused, policies to support poor households are implemented synchronously and promptly. The current poverty rate is 2.93% according to the poverty standard for the period 2016-2020...

Mr. Tran Ngoc Tam proposed that the central ministries and branches pay attention to directing budget support for localities facing difficulties to invest in socio-economic development, especially regional linkage activities, the Program to implement Resolution No. 13-NQ/TW dated April 2, 2022 of the 13th Politburo on socio-economic development orientations, ensuring national defense and security in the Mekong Delta region to 2030, with a vision to 2045, programs on climate change response in the Mekong Delta region, construction of green Hydrogen plants, sea encroachment projects, coastal connection route projects.../.
