The first group of Chinese tourists returned to Vietnam

Huu Nghi International Border Gate (Lang Son) on March 15 witnessed the first group of Chinese tourists returning to Vietnam after the Covid-19 pandemic.

A group of 124 tourists, organized by travel companies, marked the opening of cross-border tourism between Vietnam and China.

On March 15, the first group of Chinese tourists arrived in Vietnam after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Attending the welcoming ceremony were leaders of the General Department of Tourism, Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Foreign Affairs, Provincial Police, Provincial Customs, Lang Son Provincial Border Guard Command, leaders of Lang Son Provincial Tourism Association, and leaders of 20 tourism businesses in the province.

On the Chinese side, there were leaders of the People's Committee of Pingxiang City (Guangxi, China), the tourism promotion and management agencies of Pingxiang and Chongzuo, and Chinese tourism businesses.

At the welcoming ceremony, representatives of Lang Son province and the General Department of Tourism presented gifts and briefly introduced to Chinese tourists about Vietnam's tourism policies and products after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Deputy Director General of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu gives gifts to Chinese tourists

Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said: "Vietnam has prepared very favorable conditions and quality services to welcome Chinese tourist groups back. Vietnam - China tourism cooperation before the Covid-19 pandemic was very good, bringing mutual benefits to the people of the two countries, making practical contributions to fostering Vietnam - China friendship. We hope that with this opening, welcoming Chinese tourists will accelerate the growth rate of international visitors to Vietnam this year and the following years."

Ms. Luong Van Yen, one of 124 Chinese tourists, said the whole group was very excited to travel to Vietnam. "We chose Vietnam because your country has many beautiful landscapes and friendly people. Many destinations in Vietnam such as: Ha Long, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Phu Quoc... are very beautiful," Ms. Luong Van Yen said.

Chinese tourists on a 3-day, 2-night tour in Vietnam, from March 15 to 17

This first group of tourists is operated by Phuong Nam Star Travel Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) in cooperation with a Chinese partner. Mr. Truong Minh Duc, Director of Phuong Nam Star Travel, said: "The group of tourists will go on a 3-day, 2-night tour in Vietnam, from March 15 to 17. Tourists will visit Ba Dinh Square, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam (Hanoi) and Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh)". According to Mr. Duc, Phuong Nam Star Travel has prepared services, human resources, and facilities after China opens. Tour programs suitable for the needs of customers after the epidemic are also ready.

On the same day, another group of 19 people, representing Lang Son tourism enterprises, left for China to travel and survey destinations. This survey group was also organized by Phuong Nam Star Travel Company Limited (Vietnam).
